Sheba Fillets 32 x 60g - cat wet food

I was happy because I had finally found the perfect wet food. I’d been buying it for 2 years, but one day when I opened the container it smelled strange, so I thought it had gone bad and threw it away. I opened another one and it also smelled odd/bad, not like usual, and I thought maybe it was just me. I put it out for the cats and in half a second they turned away. I thought it was just that batch, but since I still had some from before, I realised the recipe is completely different. My cats don’t like it anymore.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] The Sheba Fillets are in a sauce, but it's more like a jelly. Unfortunately, my two cats didn't touch the food at all. I think it was mainly because of the texture.

Unfortunately, the quality has really gone downhill. The food is now very watery, you can hardly see any meat, and it's much thinner than it used to be.

Our cat has been eating this product every evening for 12 years, and dry food during the day. The recipe was changed a few years ago—fish became mostly chicken, no more mussels, and just three tiny little shrimps. Unfortunately, it’s changed again now and wow, the smell is really strong. The funny thing is, our picky cat (who refuses any other kind of wet food) still eats this one without a problem... first licking up all the sauce and then finishing the rest. I do wonder if it’s still healthy though...

Unfortunately, since Sheba changed the ingredients and the label, this food just smells awful when you open it! My cats don’t want to eat it anymore, even though they used to eat it without hesitation. I suspect my cats aren’t the only ones reacting this way. I’ve also noticed that sales in the shops have dropped. Well, the manufacturer is going to lose out because of this.

Previously, there were big chunks of chicken/fish and they’d empty the whole bowl in no time. With the last order, the strips were thinner, there was a different (strange) smell, and they left half of it behind. Really, really disappointing!! It’s not Zooplus’s fault, because the same bowls with the same lower quality are in the supermarket. Why??
