It’s empty in here!
Was sceptical about this product but it worked fine on my Ragdoll's thick coat. My cat loves being groomed and as this product is made of soft rubber, there is no sharpness.
Yasmine hated being groomed but gradually she became used to this and now loves it. Picks up hair and massages. Moulting season a pain no more. Pull hair off and wash under tap. For hair removal I use long tooth side but I use other side for massage. Soft on the skin unlike wire brushes and durable.
It removes loads of hair (and will also cover yourself and any furniture, so create a space or groom outside for least amounts of hassle). However, my two short haired mogs run away from it and one actively tries to bite it - not keen at all, despite loving normal strokes and scratches. So yes it works, but I only traumatise the cats about once a week as they dislike it so much!
Froglet is still circling this and being ultra cautious. If she doesn't come round the prongs are strong but much less hard and spikey than the shampoo massage brush that i've just purchased for me, so it won't go to waste
I bought this for my Ragdoll who sheds EVERYWHERE but is a pain to groom. When he has no choice he's far more interested in playing with your arm and if the brush/comb has a handle he goes into crazy mode trying to chew the handle. 5+ diff brushes later i tried this as it was recommended by Jenny from floppycats.com, so glad i did! The fine fur "sticks" like a magnet. It's soft so doesn't dig, fits perfectly in the hand and adjusts to his curves. He also loves getting his cheeks massaged with it
Am about to order more. My cat can't get enough of it. Even lies on his back, legs akimbo and head right back in my hand, wanting me to do his whole stomach and throat area. He cries to me until I succumb and spend ten minutes grooming him every night and morning! I have worn down the "bristles" on two zoom grooms, but well worth it as apart from the joy it brings him, it really does remove loose fur extremely well. Only word of caution is to comb your cat after to remove stray hairs.
My black and white domestic shorthair loves this ecstatically, especially in her head . She'd be bald if I groomed her with it as much as she wants :-)
Best brush ever. Really does get loads out whether long or short hair. Highly recommended
I didn't get the change to try this too much as my cat was clear about not liking it. For the little I could use it, it worked well. It's a bit clonky to use, whike it's cute to shape it like a cat, it makes it a bit awkward to hold.
This lifted and loosened hair very effectively. The instructions to groom gently in a circular manner are important. The shedded hair will accumulate both on the brush and on the cat - use an old comb, or the reverse of the Kong to remove the klingon debis from the cat. As an extra bonus, it sweeps up dust/pet hair from carpets like a dream, great for carpet edges, just use the reverse (flat) side.
This collects fur all right, and can be used to brush down yourself. Unfortunately my cat hates being touched with it, but I think that's down to her, not the brush in question.
This product was recommended by our vet for our ragdolls. Both ragdolls are happy to be brushed using this and start purring as soon as we start grooming them.
Note the instructions to gently brush in a CIRCULAR motion as this way is very effective at lifting loose hair. I found using the brush this way was very effective, almost too good as some loose hair can remain on the pet so it needs removing before it transfers to elsewhere. I also found it easiest to remove the hair from the brush when there was plenty of hair on the brush. - An aptly named product that is extremely good.
This is by far the best cat brush I have ever used. My extremely old cat has stopped grooming in his old age and using other brushes has tugged at his fur, This brush glides through his matted fur a treat. I didn't expect it to, but it does it well. He allows me to brush him now without being too grumpy. If you have a cat that does not like brushing, this is for you. Be prepared to get covered in cat hair though...
I bought this for my 6 cats and all love it, before I had it every day there would be fur all over the wooden stairs, so much malting.Since using it there is hardly any, even though they are short hair, 2 of the cats are quite bushy and their fur is much more to malt, so this is and excellent brush. They loved to be brush with this. It is flexible, ,soft and gets rid of excess fur very easily. The fur is easy to remove from the brush with your hand as well. A good purchase.
excellent for my birman and she loves it , the other brushes or slickers she's not very keen on
My cat always hated being groomed until I got the Kong. Now I just show it to him and he comes running from wherever he is and falls over on his back waiting to be groomed. He just can't get enough of it. I do comb him after finishing with the Kong as a lost of loose hair lies all over him until removed with a fine comb. He absolutely adores it and it stops the dreaded hairballs.
Don't bother with other brushes, because this one's rubber fingers get all the dead hair out, and if used daily, will keep your cat furball free, and it's fur will be beautifully smooth and shiny. No more fur on future or clothes!
It's really good at getting out the loose fur - the spiky side gets the loose fur out and the flat side is great for collecting it. The flat side is also fantastic at picking up hair from fabric so all the hair that was transfered from the cat onto the bed or sofa can be easily picked up. It's also great at getting cat fur off carpets.
I have used this on my very elderly cat (age 22), and it keeps her fur in really good condition whilst being gentle.
I love this brush, and i hate it at the same time! It is extremely effective in removing hairs; better so than nearly all other brushes i have ever used. My only issue is that you have to swipe the loose hair off of the cat every few brushes - Good, because you know it's doing the job, and bad because it's a total pain to wipe them off before they fly everywhere. I would still recommend this to everyone though!
I'm a professional cat sitter as well as having cats of my own. The Kong Zoom Groom massage brush is amazing, I haven't yet met a cat who doesn't absolutely love it. However for a long haired cat they really also need to be groomed with a traditional metal comb as well to prevent hairballs in their stomach.
I am so glad I bought this brush. I have a short hair and a semi - longhaired cat. This brush is perfect for both of them. One cat had been refusing to be brushed lately but she loves groom time again. They are actually fighting over who goes first. I think i need to buy another. Definitely recommend getting one now with shedding season beginning. I've removed enough hair for another cat already.
Well I must say I am totally impressed by this brush! My medium length haired girl is a little monkey when it comes to brush time. The time spent chasing her around the room to try to comb her is just so tiring! Well now I have tried this Zoom Groom on her I am extatic! She layed down and even rolled around whilst I brushed her and she spent the whole time purring! Also removed a lot of fur! Brilliant and highly recommended! Great tool!
This little rubber 'brush', with its soft and flexible rubber 'fingers' is like catnip in the intensity of its effect on my cats! The only downside in using it is the cats want to get as close to me as possible whilst I am using it on them so they keep shifting position throughout in order to press themselves onto me. Not only is it HIGHLY effective in removing loose hair - so my two have gone from throwing up a hairball about once a month to barely one between them every 3 or 4 months - it also gives them a superb massage each time and leaves their coats extra soft and glossy. When they see me get it out of the drawer they act like it's their favourite toy! I really can't praise this brush highly enough - get one!
At one point we had 7 cats who all adored the zoom grrom. It is the best grooming product invented. Cats widely tolerate the gentle massaging action, whilst it moves loose surface hair. Great for older cats who cannot groom themselves as well as they used to,due to stiffness and arthritis. Just bought one to send to a friend in Greece. Naturally, more care needs to be taken with long haired cats but I have used it gently on them and they love it too.
My 18 year old cat loved it he had dandruff the zoom groom was great and dandruff nearly gone coat is so shinny cant believe how much hair it gets out and massages
I bought this for my elderly cat who was no longer capable of grooming herself properly. She loved it, unlike others I had tried that pulled at her fur and hurt her. So I tried it on my retriever-coated dog who I have again tried (unsuccessfully) with many different brushes/combs over the years - this is wonderful! It grooms him very well so less hair around the house!
This is the best brush i've ever used! It is very soft, and there is no worry of sharp bristles - Brilliant for cats with sensitive skin. It collects much more fur than conventional brushes. It is also very effective in removing cat hair from clothes and furnishings.
Like most cats my boy hated being brushed. He is a domestic short hair but still his fur gets every where. Did not really believe this brush would be that effective as it does look a tad strange...I could not have been more wrong my cat actually enjoys being brushed/massaged with it and the amount of fur it removes surprised me greatly, I half expected my cat to resemble Telly Savallas by the time I'd finished(disclaimer no cat was harmed during the brushing of their fur!). Highly recommend who ever thought up and designed this is without a doubt a genius and I salute you... Well worth the price. Buy one your cat will thank you :-)
For my cats and myself! This brush gets out the finer hairs from my long-haired cat, who is sometimes reluctant to groom herself. It makes for much less trauma for both of us by avoiding those hisses and scratches when a 'clump' of fur is found. This brush is also excellent for removing cat hairs from their blankets and cushions. Zoom Groom Prrr-oom
Just to confirm that this product is very good at brushing out the very fine hair that would not necessarily come out with a normal nylon brush. Good to use before a bath and to improve coat's overall condition and shine. I have a korat kitten and she absolutely loves it! She lies on the table as soon as I get the 'brush' out and does not seem to tire of it. I finish of the 'brushing' with a normal brush and a chamoix cloth and she looks amazing!
I first bought one of these for my mother's elderly cat, as I thought she might like the massaging action, and she did. She loves it, and Mum likes it too because it takes out so much loose fur on her long-haired kitty. I bought another one for my kitten, because I've been unable to brush her because she attacks the brush. She enjoys this so much she hasn't bothered to attack it. Just a little nibble and then she lets me get on with it. Wonderful product!
i have tried every kind of grooming product around this is the best by far and the cat agrees..
My cat loves this brush and I lost it so am ordering three to make sure I have a stock "just in case my two daughter who have cats have pinched it"
Our cat Theodore, was half feral when we adopted him. He wasn't particularly loving. Forget grooming him! Until we got the Zoom & Groom. He loved it immediately. It's like a calming massage for him, he rolls around having the time of his life, and considering the fact that he's only got short hair it certainly picks up a lot! A few years on and he's a much more friendly cat - it might just have been time and him getting used to domestic life, although I think the Zoom & Groom helped the bonding process at the very least.
