I bought the pet door&hub as I read that you could control access for individual pets. It advertises that you can do this through the app- giving the example of having a sick pet that you need to keep indoors, whilst still allowing others to go out. This is not a feature! I can only lock/ unlock the pet door for all pets registered. My cats have not been using the door at all yet as they are wary of the noise+new design compared to their previous one. I’m hopeful that they’ll come around in time

We have had this connected cat flap for 3 months and absolutely love it. We upgraded from the sureflap microchip cat flap and are so happy with this new product. Fitting was pretty straight forward and the set up of the internet side of things was easy, seamless and has worked perfectly since installation. It is so reassuring to be able to monitor our cats comings and goings no matter where we are. A Definite Five Stars from us

We installed this flap for our cat and it works great. You get messages on your phone, if and when your cat leaves and enters the house. The flap is of good quality and locks out any unwanted animals without a matching chip. I would buy it again!

Since I travel a lot for work, sometimes overnight, this flap is a great addition to my home. Now I know even when I'm away if my cats are ok and if they are safe at home. Super easy to install and I've had no problems with the Connect - everything worked the first time!

I loved this idea and initially it worked ok. But I had to buy a tp link adapter (over mains adapter for WiFi connection) as the WiFi would not reach to the utility where I placed the door. It worked intermittently to start. Am still having discussions back and forth with their support team to resolve. Feedback..electrical interference, and try moving to an other room. My response......is there any room in any house without some electrical gadget, so almost impossible. The saga continues

For this price, I really expected it to have a rechargeable battery, but instead it runs on batteries—and not even a standard size, but one that hardly anyone has at home and is only sold in DIY stores. I also find it really disappointing that the chip section can't be adjusted in height. It hangs very low, so the cats have to really crouch down to reach the food. Unfortunately, mine just won't do that, even after weeks of trying. Such a shame :/

Fails within a year or less. Sure will only replace it once, even if it breaks again after a few months. Look for another brand. It's a rip-off.

8 out of 10 times, the cats' chip isn't read, even though the batteries are brand new alkaline ones. The app is also useless, as updates are delayed by several hours. To be sure the cat can get in, you have to disable the lock and use it as a manual cat flap, which you might as well have bought for 100 kr.

Hi I have two cats. One of them has an older version of this feeder and it works perfectly. It closes quickly when she leaves. The new one I bought for my other cat, who needs veterinary food, takes much longer to close (even on the fastest setting!) It takes more than 5 seconds before it even starts to close! The first cat figured out on day one that if she queues up, she can eat the rest of the food, which is basically all of it. So the new feeder is completely pointless.

I've been using this feeding bowl for years now. Very satisfied. I work during the day and my cat eats small amounts throughout. The food doesn't dry out in this bowl, flies can't get to it, and I don't have any issues with the smell coming from the food. The bowl runs on batteries, but I only need to replace them at most twice a year. There's an indicator that lets you know when the batteries need changing. Installation is easy.

I've been using feeding bowls from this brand for over a decade now and never had a problem unless it was caused by the user themselves (connection issues due to electromagnetic interference, metal, etc.). I use rechargeable lithium batteries without any issues (definitely give it a try!). Each bowl has been replaced at least once in that time, but isn't that the case with any electronics (motors)? At the moment, I have three very large Maine Coons who have no trouble accessing them.

The idea is really good, the system works, but the bowl is very uncomfortable for them—they can't eat the food from the edges. Plus, you have to buy a back cover if you have more cats. On the other hand, you should be able to set up all the options from the app; there are things that only customer service can set for you, and the app itself could be better too.

Unfortunately, the hub has to be connected to the router with a LAN cable. This means the hub needs to be close to the router, and if the cat flap isn’t nearby, the hub keeps losing connection – as a result, things like curfews or remote control just don’t work properly. For this price range, that’s simply unacceptable! Our flap is just one floor below and there isn’t even a door between the hub and the flap – and that’s already enough for the connection to drop.

The product is offline more often than it's online. As long as it's offline, I can't change the curfew by phone, which really annoys me.

Happy with the end result even though getting there was a bit tricky. Order the mounting adapter straight away if you have metal in your front door, as the metal interferes with the chip reader. I first tried adding an extra air gap at the top, but eventually gave up and bought the adapter so I could cut a slightly taller hole in the door (I didn’t make it any wider). I also received a returned item, which would’ve been fair enough if I’d been given the choice myself or got an extra discount or something like that.

I’m writing this even though I don’t think you’re as silly as I am... I tried out the cat flap in my old house before moving and everything was fine. In the new place, as soon as I installed it on the glass door, I realised it stuck out too much and stopped the shutter from coming down. Even though it was clearly written not to drill or cut the cat flap, I did it anyway, and of course I ended up cutting the circuits and now it doesn’t work anymore (it doesn’t recognise the microchip).

This is really a bad cat flap. It was the first one we bought, and we seriously regret not just getting a cheap one for 100kr that has the same functions (though manual and without an app). You can actually count on the cheap one to work! Within a couple of months, this one started draining the batteries in no time. We had to buy new, very expensive batteries every week. Then it generally started acting up and locking the cats out (we had set it so the cats could ALWAYS get in).

I’ve just installed the cat flap. I already had the Hub because I bought the “smart bowl”, which I have to say I was really happy with. However, this system was installed in a newly built house with an A+++ energy rating, and it was very disappointing to discover that there’s no insulation at all. I installed several extension pieces, since my wall is 30cm thick plus the insulation layer. Air gets into the tunnel and comes through the flap. Terrible.

This feeder is brilliant in every way. I have four feeders for my four cats and it works perfectly with the app, or you can use it without the app too! I highly recommend this product! =)

I bought the SureFeed Connect without the hub at first because I wanted to get used to the bowl on its own. I got the hub a few weeks later (it’s definitely an investment!). Based on the reviews, I had a few worries but the setup was easy. The hub is in my living room and the bowl is in the kitchen, about 8 metres apart, and it works well. We’ll see how it goes over time. Perfect for knowing if and when the cat has eaten. However, don’t rely on the data for grams consumed.

At first, she had to get used to putting her head through, so I left it open for her. That took about a week. Then she kept getting startled by the noise when the flap opened, which also lasted a week. Now she patiently waits until it opens—so nice to see. I’m really happy with it. The other two cats keep looking to see why it doesn’t open for them. Funny to watch, haha. I’m thinking about buying one or two more. It’s ideal.
