It’s empty in here!
I didn't think I'd be writing a review of cat litter either but after 17 years on tray duty this stuff is really great. Over the years we've used two types, the wood pellets that go to sawdust which made a terrible mess then latterly clay based litters which are quite good but ultimately start to smell. This stuff clumps up brilliantly in to little patties which are very easily removed, unlike clay clumps which you can never quite get at every bit and therefore wasteful when you have to tip the whole lot out to clean the tray. It does reduce smells in the fact that you don't have to clean the entire tray so often as there aren't damp bits left over. I don't find that it tracks any worse than the clay stuff, all litter tracks to a degree. Clay litter contains bentonite which isn't good for either your cat or you, especially kittens who have a tendency to nibble on it and it isn't easily digested and can cause intestinal harm. It is expensive however and in the long run I don't think it will save you any money. However if you want a litter that is safe for your cats and very easy to deal with, this is the one for you.
This litter has answered all our problems. Our new rescue cat decided he would eat the clumping litter we previously used (which is fatal) so we switched to the wood pellets which our other senior cat would not use under any circumstances. What to do! After much deliberation I ordered World's Best Extra Strength, both took to it immediately, the fine grain is soft on their pads & it suits newby as he likes to dig. As previous reviews state although it seems pricey, long term it proves very economical and no odour. Will not be changing back.
This is the best litter I have ever had I have 4 ragdolls and 2 other cats so I used to use a lot of litter I also work with cat protection so I have tried all sorts of litter but this is by far the bestI would recomend this to anyone
Quite expensive, but it's worth to pay for it! 2x15 kg lasts for about 5 months for my two adults cats.
We've been using the normal strength Worlds Best for some time now and tried to go back to cheaper cat litters a few times but it was false economy as one of our cats makes such a mess in a litter tray that we ended up emptying the tray almost daily. We recently tried the extra strength Worlds Best and it's even better for our must-drink-gallons-of-water cat (judging by the amount coming out of him!!), though our other cat would still be ok with the normal strength as he only seems to drink tiny amounts in comparison! So, depending on the "water output" of your cat, decide which is best to try. We were getting through a 7.5kg bag of normal strength Worlds Best a week with our 2 cats using their litter trays rather than going outside to do their business. Now, with the extra strength, a 15kg bag is lasting us 6 weeks or more, which is great. We find the extra strength doesn't track as much as the normal either (we put a 3ft long cotton mat by the tray to catch the bits the cats kick out (hooded tray, but no door), & the mat catches most of what's on their feet too). Both WB litters clump brilliantly as long as you leave the waste at least 10 minutes - ideally a bit longer - to "set" before scooping out. Make sure too that there's a good depth of litter in the tray so that urine doesn't sit in a pool on the bottom of the tray if the cats scrape the litter to one side to "go" like ours do.
I have been using this cat litter on and off for a couple of years: it clumps well and doesn't have any nasty chemical nor clay. It is great if you live in a flat as it can be easily flushed down. It is costly but it really lasts ages. It works brilliantly with the Omega rolling cat litter that I bought elsewhere (shame that Zooplus is not selling it). It's great!
I have six cats and this is the best litter I have used in 17 years. Clumps beautifully quick and easy clean up, no smell. Best product ever!!
I have 5 cats. 4 Maine Coons and a British Shorthair. This litter is so easy to deal with. It clumps better than any other litter I have tried and it is so convenient to be able to flush dirty lumps down the loo. All of my cats are happy using it and it doesn't stick to paws. It may be a bit more expensive but definitely worth paying the extra for. I highly recommend it. Well named as 'Worlds Best'!
When i got my cat from the breeder he would only use this cat litter and wouldn't even look at another. I have kept cats for over 30 years and haven't found one as good, it did exactly what it said on the bag and is definately worth the of extra cost.
Expensive - yes, it also does track a bit but we have 15 Ragdolls all of whom have no problem using it and it is substantially better than Everclean our previous litter which was dusty. It kills smells and the smell of it itself is not at all unpleasant. Overall it is longer lasting and cleaning the trays is almost a joy!
It was excellent. No smell, good clumping, no tracking, lasted forever but my siamese cats hated it and started to urinate everywhere else in the house but in their tray.I have now ordered a litter called 'cat attract' especially formulated for inappropriate urination and hope this solves the problem!
I have had Burmese cats for the last 21+ years and have always used another clumping cat litter. Now I have a new family of Burmese kittens the breeder introduced me to the World's Best cat litter which I have to say stands up to its name. It is simply the best ever. There is no waste like there is with other clumping cat litter. Normally I would use one 7.5kg bag of litter a week. I started a 7.5kg bag of the Worlds Best Extra Strength on 5 September 2010 and 20 days later I have only used half of the bag so yes it is very economical both usage wise and cost wise.
Although this litter is one of the best I have used, I am only giving it 4 stars. The positives are that it is organic, safe if eaten by the kittens or cats and can be flushed easily down the loo. It lasts ages too and clumps well. The negatives are the smell, it's kind of sickly sweet and it also doesn't absorb the bad smells made by our two siamese cats. Although I don't particularly have a problem with it tracking (I use a covered litter tray and have a mat there too), my daughter used it for her two cats and had real problems with tracking. It may be to do with how much the cats dig, I don't know, but when I stayed with her, I was constantly sweeping up litter even though she also had a mat outside the tray.
We have two largish Norwegian Forest kittens. This litter clumps well, absorbs odour and lasts very well. For that reason it does not work out that expensive, some of the cheaper litters will only last a few days. The extra strength is a lot better than the standard in our experience.
This is the very best cat litter I have ever used and I have tried every one on the market I have 5 adult cats and 2 kittens each and every one one of them are rescue cats and this stuff is amazing that good that my youngest son decided he was not going to go on his potty and tried the cat box so it even soaked up a human 2 year old"s Water !! no problem great stuff and no nasty smells as well ,,,,,,,,,,
Have tried several different products for my cats. But this is outstanding. * It clumps very good * You can just flush it down the toilett * It smells real nice, a little bit like bread (as I saw somewhere) * It absorbes the odour very well * It's natural * The cats likes it * It lasts long so it's not more expensive than other products - and even if it was I'd choose it for it's qualities!
i would have never thought I could leave a review on a... cat litter!!! but this one is really great. I have 3 cats (one is a 13 kilos Maine Coon), and they are super happy with it.
Having used this litter I would not consider using anything else. It is safe and clean for my cats and it is eco-friendly. Nothing goes into landfill.
I was very happy to move away from clay based litter, but after 3 months of using this product, I'm ready to try something else. The sweet smell lingers a bit too long and I'm finding dust everywhere around the flat. It breaks up into fine particles that track everywhere. Not ideal. So I'm still searching...
We have four maine coons and a 15kg bag has just lasted us over 6 weeks so excellent value for money as well as very little odour. Works best if you keep it quite deep in the litter tray.
I normally use Worlds Best and thought I'd see if the Extra Strength was any better. It seems to clump better and doesn't track as much as the ordinary World's Best so was initially delighted - I didn't think litter could get any better than World's Best. Didn't notice much difference in the smell but one of my Bengals refused to use it as it was obviously very offensive to her so to save washing my bed linen AGAIN I'll have to throw out the rest of the bag. Really disappointed as I was prepared to make the switch to this even if more expensive as the benefits of less tracking outweigh the extra housework involved!! So I give 4 stars cos I loved the product, it's just a shame my fussiest feline didn't agree. :(
Hi, We find this litter excellent and our cats love it, they are clapping their paws and giving high fives. This was recommended by the breeder of our Maine Coon cats so we decided to give it a try. We are delighted with the result. It is very easy to clean and there is no smell if left for a lenght of time.It may be more expensive, but we think it is worth it. Go on give your cats a go and see what they say. It is certainly worth a try and we would love to see what other people think.
I bought this product based on other good reviews and was glad I did. CatSan is good for odour control but seemed to appear all over my flat. This one is great, just a bit of tracking outside the box and the fact that you can flush it down the toilet makes taking care of the litter box much easier.
This IS the 'Worlds Best Cat Litter' and I mean the best. I have 4 indoor cats and the odour control is unsurpassed and the tracking is minimal. YES THE BEST!
Really lives up to its name! Very absorbent, no horrible smells, super long-lasting - worth every penny.
We have lots of cats and have tried almost every cat litter on the market, this is by far the best. There's very little tracking, it soaks everything up and is easy to clean out....Brilliant stuff!
Does exactly what it claims to do. Worth every penny as really does last.
This litter lives up to each and every one of it's claims. It lasts much longer than other litters as it completely absorbs odors and clumps in strong, tight balls that do not fall apart upon removal, thus eliminating the need for frequent changing of old litter. The smell of the actual litter is pleasant (not noxiously perfumed, no chemical stench). It is soft on paws and the texture is perfectly powdery so that it does not kick out easily and does not stick to paws or bums (i.e. it stays in the box and off your floor). My older cat experienced hair loss on her tummy and the vet suggested it might be due to an allergy to our previous kitty litter. I switched to this one and the hair grew back immediately. If you go to the company's website, there is a demonstration of a man eating the litter to prove how natural and safe it is. This stuff is truly unbelievable. My cat loves it and I am thrilled by how fresh and clean my litter box always smells now. Would HIGHLY recommend to any cat owner.
The claims on the bag are vaIid. I have bought about 4x 15kg bags of this excellent product to use with 2 cats with sensitive tums. It smells sweet, and is better at absorbing smells than some other litters I've tried. This type, for multiple cats, smells less corn-like than the single cat type. I remove the faeces and urine pools with spatula, put them on a sheet of kitchen paper, and drop it all in the toilet. It would probably be more efficient to carry litter box to toilet, thereby avoiding the need for paper, which could block the loo if too much goes down at once. Also, it seems sensible to put it down at the times of your own visits to the bathroom, to save on your water bill. The litter normally flushes well, and I now put the remaining used cleared litter on the garden, where I feel it will rot down. I started by putting it in the household waste, and would recommend this to owners without gardens. It is lighter than other types I have used, and cleaner and easier to handle. Only very little is actually trodden into the floor, but a closed litter box is better, as cats which scratch up with vigour in an open type box can give you a regular job with the dustpan! The only disadvantage has been that to save money, I ordered 2 bags at once, which proved a bit heavy for our young post lady. Otherwise, I thoroughly recommend the Extra Strength, and find that being able to use less of it balances out the extra cost. I intend to use this to the exclusion of others.
i have been using this product for a few years now and i find it very good! i have 4 mostly indoors cats and i run two litter trays at the same time, and there is absolutely no cat smell in my house, this was not the case with the products i used previously! it is a bit pricey but i can get roughly 1 and 1/2 months use out of a large bag so i suppose it is not too bad!
This may be expensive but it is so worth it, it lasts a really long time the cats love it and with 4 of them that is a big plus. If in doubt try it you will not be disappointed.
