At first impression, it's nice smell, my boy's don't have problems doing their business in it although it's not as fast in clumping as u would have imagine.
It's also a fine grit which helps them to bury it better if they won't touch it by their paw beforehand and than it gets thrown everywhere. I learned to prevent this by using more..u need to have it bit thicker layer than with a big stone liter. On the other hand it keeps fresh long enough so once every 2/3 weeks is plenty to change it all
