Savic Nestor Happy Planet Cat Litter Box

This was the third tray I ordered in a short period of time. The first one broke at the bottom pretty quickly, the second one arrived already broken. That one was replaced free of charge. Now the third one has also broken at the bottom. It was hardly used, so it was basically just sitting around. The material is therefore completely unsuitable for cat litter trays.

Since I changed the litter box and put the bag in, Sentó hasn't used it. It's been more than 12 hours without using the litter box.

It's poor quality, the plastic is way too thin. The door it comes with doesn't close properly, so it's basically like having it open. The top part, the lid, doesn't close well on the sides, which makes it wobble a lot and hard to move. In fact, it seems like the lid just doesn't fit, it doesn't sit properly on the base. That means the litter box stays open and the sand and smell escape more easily. Very disappointed. I won't be buying it again.

Don't buy this! It's a very spacious litter box, but the flap doesn't close. There's always a gap left open, so the smell doesn't stay inside the box. The odour filter is useless if the flap stays open. My advice: buy the Catit Jumbo, it's a much better litter box!!

It's a large litter box with plenty of space, even for a big cat. Unfortunately, the odour filter does nothing to keep the smell out, since the cat flap has a big opening at the bottom. You can actually see it in the product photos. There's no difference in smell compared to when there's no door at all. Also, other reviewers are right that, for some reason, the door starts falling off very quickly. I think I'll end up buying another litter box, which is a shame, as this one wasn't cheap.

The litter box is okay, but my cat doesn't use it properly. I bought it because my kitty had been constantly peeing over the edge of her 'normal' litter box for a while. With the new box, she comfortably steps in with all four paws at the lowered side, but then she doesn't turn around and just as comfortably pees over the lowered edge onto the floor. Well, at least it's only on that side :) . So now it's time for a new box with four sides of equal height. Sigh...

Yes, the litter box is big. But that's about all there is to say. The material is flimsy, the four flaps don't close, and the door stays open. That makes the filter pointless. It even falls out on its own. I don't understand how you dare to sell this, especially at this price.

This product looks good on paper but has a major flaw: the doors are not great. The first one I got already had a broken door. The second one broke while I was cleaning it. The third one, my cat broke it while coming out (he’s only 3 months old and doesn’t even weigh 2 kg). I had to buy replacement doors on the Savic website... 3 doors for the tidy sum of about €40. This litter box is the scam of the century!!

I bought this toilet because I wanted a closed toilet to avoid bad smells. But the flap stays open, which is rubbish, and the locks are super cheap... I want to send it back.

Ask about the availability of spare parts before buying more expensive items. The door on this litter box broke for me and the shop doesn’t supply any replacements. So, something that cost over a thousand crowns has to be thrown away after just a few years because a single part isn’t available. Next time, I’ll just find the cheapest product online – then I won’t mind throwing it out after a few years. This is not how you win loyal customers; it’s not the first time you haven’t stocked spare parts. Long live Temu and AliExpress – at least they sell this plastic junk cheaply.

No matter how carefully you handle the litter box, the flap breaks off after a while. I find it really disappointing that there are replacement carbon filters and other parts available, but having to buy a whole new litter box every year just because the flap breaks isn’t really the solution. By now, I own three litter boxes without flaps.
