The litter box arrived with a cracked rim, but apart from that, the size is perfect for my 2-year-old tomcat.

It's okay, but the top piece, which is lighter in colour, just clicks in with two snaps! I have two cats—one is bigger and stockier—and when he pees, he tends to lean on this edge piece; sometimes it gives way and he gets startled. I don't think it's practical for it to scare its user.
