The clumping litter will still get mushy and stick to the sides after the cat pees, it's not some Japanese toilet with automatic washing and disinfecting. You'll still have to take it apart and clean it by hand, just like all the other boxes!

I hope this trend will pass. This product is made for people, not for cats. A cat needs an open, large litter box where it can stretch out, squat, turn around, fit its tail, dig, cover up, etc. Don’t harm your pet—use classic, large, open litter boxes. These kinds of innovations only serve the supposed convenience of people. A classic litter box is hassle-free for both people and, most importantly, for cats! Cats are afraid of automatic litter boxes.
