Changed colour and quality of the food – Purizon Sterilised Adult Chicken & Fish
My tomcat really enjoyed eating this food for three years. However, since the last delivery (order from 18/08/2026), the colour of the food has changed.
Also, it seems my cat doesn't like it as much anymore. He leaves some of the food in his bowl, even though he's usually a real glutton and always eats with great appetite.
On top of that, his stool has changed and has become noticeably softer(( I'm looking for a different food :(

Recipe change + packaging
I've been loyal to these kibbles for a good 4-5 years. It took me a really long time to post this—I didn't believe it at first, but after reading other reviews, it's clear my cat isn't the only one with issues! Since they changed the recipe and the packaging (which no longer reseals):
- Vomiting up the kibbles
- Turns his nose up at eating them
- Takes them in his mouth then spits them out without chewing
Unfortunately, I'll have to switch to a different brand of kibble.

Diarrhoea disaster, total disaster
In my opinion, we should organise some kind of collective protest against what's happened with this cat food. I bought 6.5kg of it and now my cat has diarrhoea after eating it, no matter how I try to feed it. Even small amounts give him the runs. This food used to be great, so what's going on now? They really shouldn't be selling it at all.

Worse quality and packaging – both my cat and I are annoyed
I used to buy Purizon Fish repeatedly because the previous formula was, in my opinion, much better and I was happy with the kibble. Unfortunately, they've now changed the recipe and I think it's a big step in the wrong direction. The quality that made me buy Purizon just isn't there anymore.
And as if that wasn't enough, even the packaging has got worse. The old packaging was practical, but now there's no resealable zip, so after opening I have to figure out how to properly close the bag to keep it fresh.

From Favourite Food to Shelf Warmer
All 4 cats had one favourite food: Purizon Fish (herring), but Lamb & Fish was also popular.
Then came the recipe change. First, herring was out of stock and the new version was barely touched. Gotten worse
After feeding this for 10 years with satisfaction, I can no longer recommend it this year. The pellets have become noticeably smaller and about a third of it is just powder now.... Both cats are vomiting more often and frequently have bloating. We even ordered a second batch, hoping it was just a 'bad' production run, but it seems to be permanently poor quality now. The quality is beyond any rating. After the recipe change, this is no longer healthy but actually harmful food for cats. Diarrhoea or soft, mushy stools—normal bowel movements are impossible. On top of that, my cat started losing fur in clumps. They should have kept the quality and just raised the price—there isn’t a normal cat owner who wouldn’t pay any price as long as their pet is healthy. Once again, greed has backfired.

My cats are vomiting
Unfortunately, these kibbles are snubbed and vomited up. I mix them with Royal Canin for sterilised cats, because otherwise they just won’t go down at all: two of my three girls have been vomiting for two months now. Even mixed, they’re still being brought back up... but I want to finish the bag, so I’m only putting in 10% Purizon to 90% Royal Canin. It’s a shame. I’ll go back to the Single Meat range—no more Purizon Grain Free for me, ever again.

Less quality for the same price
I've been feeding my cats Purizon grain-free for years. Even my picky lady cat used to really enjoy it. Now, it seems they've changed the recipe. The pieces are lighter in colour and more crumbly. You get more crumbs than actual pieces in the bag. My cats haven't had diarrhoea since, but their stools aren't firm anymore. They've also left out the resealable closure.
