Royal Canin Feline Dry Cat Food Economy Packs

My tomcat can't tolerate the food. He's losing his fur and getting sick, and after trying different foods, we've figured out it's the food that's causing it.

The granules smell again, reeking of rotten meat. I have no idea what they're made from. Is it just pure rendering plant waste? When I started buying them years ago, I actually enjoyed smelling them—they had a really pleasant scent. The change happened when production moved from Poland. Since then, they've stunk.

Good product, but the price increase is unacceptable. At the start of 2026, it cost €98.49 for 10 kilos and now it costs €122!!!! I won’t be buying it again.

That a cat food from a brand that “sells itself” as one of the best has maize as its first ingredient, then maize gluten, rice, wheat, vegetable proteins, and doesn’t have any fresh meat or taurine, is just wrong and makes our cats sick. They should regulate the sale of pet food much better, and even ban brands like this one that are recommended as top quality but, in reality, are no different from supermarket brands—just disguised. UNACCEPTABLE

Shortly after starting these kibbles, my cat showed worrying symptoms: vomiting, pain and fever. The vet diagnosed a probable gastric issue. Also, I noticed that my cat doesn’t find these kibbles very appetising.

Doesn’t have the nice locking feature like the 4kg one, so it’s a big bag that stays open, which is really impractical.

I don’t recommend it! Of course, my cat ate it because it had added flavourings. He had diarrhoea three times. Be careful, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

I have 3 cats and all 3 hate this food! I have to mix it with other foods and even then they only eat it if they're really hungry! I don't understand why, but it must taste really awful, since they're not picky at all!

I used to buy my cat food from Zooplus very regularly to save money. My cats kept throwing up their kibble. So I stopped and started buying the same product in a physical shop. I came back to try again and unfortunately, it’s the same story. The cat throws up 1 to 2 times a day. Same product = different quality or storage that ruins the kibble. From a quality point of view, this is very serious and damaging. 1 star, it’s not mediocre, it’s awful. Be careful.

For 3 years everything went well... but with my last order I was furious to find that the quality is questionable. Probably... goods just for Romania! I ordered 8 kg (4-steril, 2-urinary and 2-hair)... the cat refuses to eat it. I’m looking for another brand... not even the stray cats in front of my block will touch this stuff!!!

Deplorable quality... I do not recommend Royal Canin! It's probably packaged in some garage in Chiajna!
