My cat's struvite crystals increased on this, after having the wet variant for weeks. We realised he wasn't drinking enough, having got used to the high water content of the wet food. He liked the taste and ate it all happily, so after 12 weeks of the high dilution S/O variant I am confident that he will do better on this when we try again, and will then be on it for life. Royal Canin have been very helpful and would recommend this food for struvite crystal dissolution.

This food was recommended by the vet many years ago when my tomcat had a blocked bladder. The doctor said that all those supermarket foods like Whiskas are just rubbish. At first, I thought he just wanted to rip us off because the price difference is huge, but it turned out that after switching to urinary food, my cat never had that problem again—he’s healthy and well. He really likes the food. It’s true that it’s expensive, but clearly it has a good composition since it helps keep his urinary tract in good condition.
