Perfect for us. Our hungry dog doesn't get frustrated because he can't get the food out, but at the same time he can't eat too quickly, and in the end he has to lick every edge clean.

My puppy has been eating from this since day one. The design is really good, it makes him eat slowly, and the fact that it’s ceramic is an extra bonus.

I only use it for dry food, for small dogs, and it works great. If I add water, it takes them longer to eat. I find it unsuitable for wet food because my dogs go at it so eagerly that I’m afraid they might break their teeth. It sits on a non-slip mat and that works well. I keep ordering it again and again. Recently, something heavy fell on it and unfortunately it broke, despite the thick ceramic.
