Trixie Friends on Tour bike bag

Overall, it's a good bike basket and more rigid than I expected. The dog likes it because the basket is long enough for him to lie down. BUT: what's with this hump in the middle of the basket?? How is anyone (dog) supposed to lie down comfortably there? And the included "cushion" is a joke. A mounting manual would be helpful, because you have to figure out yourself that you need to adjust (i.e. screw and reposition) the rear support of the basket frame on the luggage rack.
