My female dogs went crazy when they saw this ball and its smaller counterpart (I bought two sizes, since my girls are different sizes too :-)). After playing together and a brief negotiation, the younger rascal claimed both ;-) She loves tossing them herself, rolling them around, or dropping them from her mouth over the edge of the sofa and watching them bounce on the floor. She often walks around 'showing off' by holding them tightly in her teeth. The spaces that let her breathe and the toy's slight flexibility clearly help her. I highly recommend it!
