Tasty treat
Review based on 3 weeks of using a free sample; these opinions are my own. My dog, a 15-year-old American Cocker, really enjoys them. He swallows them in one go without chewing at all. He looks at me as if I haven’t given him anything. The size doesn’t allow him to chew the treat, which would have definitely been a plus. I haven’t noticed any health benefits yet.

Not impressed
Unfortunately, my Australian Shepherd female isn’t a fan of the Joint & Ageing Chews from Royal Canin. She spat the treats out several times and only ate them in the end with great reluctance. However, I find the ingredients and their associated benefits very positive, which is why I continued to give her the chews. Considering the high price, though, I wouldn’t buy the product again.

Pros & Cons
Our Deda weighs just under 29 kg, so the pack only lasts about 10–12 days. The kibble pieces are a good size and Deda devoured them greedily as an extra treat. Unfortunately, shortly after eating them, he started having problems with flatulence and the farting hardly stopped, plus he had loose stools. We then reduced the dose, but unfortunately that didn’t make much of a difference. Clearly, he just couldn’t tolerate it!
