Poor quality kibble
My 14-year-old Creole shepherd used to love the old Purizon senior kibbles with chicken and fish, but apparently you can't find them anymore. I realised these new ones seem to be poor quality, only moderately appetising, her stools are quite large, and my dog seems tired. Now I'm stuck with a big bag!

I don't recommend it.
After the recipe changed for my 11-year-old Yorkshire’s old kibble, I decided to try these new ones. Despite a very long and slow transition, my dog couldn’t tolerate them at all. She had a lot of extremely smelly flatulence and her stools were also very soft and very foul-smelling. I tried switching back and doing the transition even more slowly, but as soon as I go past a certain percentage, the same problems start again.

Leads to stomach problems
After ordering this type of food for a long time, with our latest order of two new bags we noticed the kibble was greasier, and my dogs had stomach problems the whole time I fed them this food. Trying to help them, we switched to another type of food from the same brand (cold-pressed), but later had to stop that as well—because they changed the recipe, replacing fresh turkey meat with turkey meal.

Purizon Adult, venison and rabbit

Food isn't balanced
Upon closer inspection, it turns out this is just Zooplus’s own brand and it’s not balanced food at all for certain breeds. The name ‘Puur-izon’ made me think it would be rich in meat and grain-free, so I thought it would be a sensible choice. However, since switching, my Swiss Shepherd has had wet, overly dark stools and other issues. I’m forced to buy balanced Royal Canin for shepherds again. The large size and shape of the kibble are good for their teeth, and it’s high-quality dog food specifically for shepherds, with healthy poos!

Changed pet food formula

The quality has changed

Poor tolerability and palatability
Unfortunately, this is the first food that neither my Aussie nor my Border likes to eat or can tolerate… They had extreme flatulence and slimy green stools. I've never experienced this with any other food.

Big issues with this type of kibble
My dog has been eating this brand and type of kibble, BLACK ANGUS and turkey, for several years. It looks like the formula has changed, and since then my dog has been producing foul-smelling gas that stinks up the whole house.
