Purizon Grain-Free 80:20:0 Economy Pack 2 x 12kg - dog dry food

It was a disaster for me. I have 3 dogs and all of them got diarrhoea after eating this food. On top of that, one keeps scratching, has gas, and needs to go out at night. Terrible, I don't recommend it.

I didn't know the old formula, but the current one is perfect for my Labrador/Argentinian Mastiff mix. No digestive issues, never any diarrhoea or anything like that. He loves it 🙂

On the advice of a nutritionist, I’ve been alternating this food for my dog every six months with Darf Vol Bites. This always went well, until the last switch. Now my dog has been letting off really foul-smelling eggy farts for three weeks. And she’s only eating grass, which is a sign her digestive system isn’t working properly. I suspect you’ve changed the formula of the product? In any case, I’ll be looking for an alternative.

After feeding this food for ages, it was no longer tolerated once the ingredients were changed. One of my dogs now always leaves the wet food untouched. We've switched to Belcando for the dry food, which is very well tolerated, and we'll also try it for the wet food.

My 14-year-old Creole shepherd used to love the old Purizon senior kibbles with chicken and fish, but apparently you can't find them anymore. I realised these new ones seem to be poor quality, only moderately appetising, her stools are quite large, and my dog seems tired. Now I'm stuck with a big bag!

★☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Disappointed with this product. My dog had diarrhoea every time she ate these kibbles, even though she’d never had any digestive issues before with other brands. The transition was done gradually, so it wasn’t a problem of changing her food too quickly.

After the recipe changed for my 11-year-old Yorkshire’s old kibble, I decided to try these new ones. Despite a very long and slow transition, my dog couldn’t tolerate them at all. She had a lot of extremely smelly flatulence and her stools were also very soft and very foul-smelling. I tried switching back and doing the transition even more slowly, but as soon as I go past a certain percentage, the same problems start again.

After ordering this type of food for a long time, with our latest order of two new bags we noticed the kibble was greasier, and my dogs had stomach problems the whole time I fed them this food. Trying to help them, we switched to another type of food from the same brand (cold-pressed), but later had to stop that as well—because they changed the recipe, replacing fresh turkey meat with turkey meal. I will no longer order or recommend this brand.

After a month, it ended with visits to the vet, diarrhoea, vomiting, terrible gas! I ordered the previous food from this company, which didn’t cause these problems, just hoping the manufacturer hasn’t ruined all their foods! Because Purizon is quite a good brand for small dogs, the small kibble is easy to chew.

I wanted to switch my dog’s kibble from his usual Specific brand. Even though I made a gradual transition between the two brands, he’s had constant diarrhoea. It’s a shame, the product seemed promising.

On closer inspection, it turns out this is just Zooplus’s own brand and not at all a balanced food for certain breeds. The name Puur-izon suggested it would be rich in meat and grain-free, so I thought it would be a sensible choice. However, since switching, my Swiss Shepherd has had wet, overly dark stools and other issues. I’m forced to go back to the balanced Royal Canin for shepherds. The large size and shape of the kibble are good for their teeth, and it’s a high-quality dog food specifically for shepherds, resulting in healthy stools!

Great food for two active German Shepherds. They love their kibble. Their coats are really shiny and they have loads of energy throughout the day. Top quality!

With the new bag of food, which we’d been using for quite a while, our dog started having stomach issues. Diarrhoea, vomiting. At first, we didn’t connect the dots and looked for the cause everywhere except where we should have. By process of elimination, we figured out it was the food. It’s a pity the manufacturer doesn’t clearly communicate changes in the food’s recipe – it would help many pet owners avoid a lot of trouble, and spare their pets unnecessary suffering and discomfort.

I've been buying this brand for several years and I've already noticed changes in the kibble over the years. But right now, the change is very noticeable: the colour (lighter = less fatty), lots of crumbs (the kibble crumbles), I'm starting to question the current quality. Even my dogs have noticed the difference. I used to be very satisfied, but now much less so.

My dog got sick from this kibble – had trouble digesting it and had really bad diarrhoea. I don't recommend it.

In 12 years, my dog has never had such bad gas as with this food. And honestly, it eats and tolerates absolutely everything—what on earth is in this food?

Unfortunately, this is the first food that neither my Aussie nor my Border likes to eat or can tolerate… They had extreme flatulence and slimy green stools. I've never experienced this with any other food. I also find the kibble very small for medium and large dogs. Such a shame!
