Purizon Grain-Free 80:20:0 Economy Pack 2 x 12kg - dog dry food

My dog got really bad diarrhoea from this. I also find the kibble pieces very small, so my dog hardly chewed them. Had no choice but to switch to another food.

After a month, it ended with visits to the vet, diarrhoea, vomiting, terrible gas! I ordered the previous food from this company, which didn’t cause these problems, just hoping the manufacturer hasn’t ruined all their foods! Because Purizon is quite a good brand for small dogs, the small kibble is easy to chew.

On closer inspection, it turns out this is just Zooplus’s own brand and not at all a balanced food for certain breeds. The name Puur-izon suggested it would be rich in meat and grain-free, so I thought it would be a sensible choice. However, since switching, my Swiss Shepherd has had wet, overly dark stools and other issues. I’m forced to go back to the balanced Royal Canin for shepherds. The large size and shape of the kibble are good for their teeth, and it’s a high-quality dog food specifically for shepherds, resulting in healthy stools!

I've been buying this brand for several years and I've already noticed changes in the kibble over the years. But right now, the change is very noticeable: the colour (lighter = less fatty), lots of crumbs (the kibble crumbles), I'm starting to question the current quality. Even my dogs have noticed the difference. I used to be very satisfied, but now much less so.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this particular dog food—I can't speak for the brand's other products. I tried various foods with my 9-month-old cocker spaniel, and this was the only one that caused diarrhoea. Afterwards, her stools stayed loose the whole time. We eventually switched to a different food and the problem disappeared. Maybe it just didn't suit my girl, but with other brands, her digestion is perfect :)

I have a Malamute who devours them, but unfortunately the high protein content in the kibble gives him diarrhoea and makes him really gassy.

One of my dogs gained a lot of weight from it and my other dog kept having diarrhoea. We switched to a different brand/food and now everything is fine.

The other kibbles were great. With these, they smell a lot and poop a lot. I find this strange because I also feed pure meat, like rabbit, for example.
