Purizon Black Angus Beef with Turkey Adult – Grain-free - dog dry food

I had tried a small version of this food (from zoopoints) to check if my dog would like the taste. Upon getting the full 12kg size and transitioning him to this, he became absolutely sick. Nausea, vomit, diarrhea... I no longer trust this brand.

Bought this for my 2 Border terrier and my swissy ( and puppy version for my litter of Border Terrier). Have it for weeks now and farts and the smell going with are unbelievable. I am very disappointed.

After feeding this food for ages, it was no longer tolerated once the ingredients were changed. One of my dogs now always leaves the wet food untouched. We've switched to Belcando for the dry food, which is very well tolerated, and we'll also try it for the wet food.

After the recipe changed for my 11-year-old Yorkshire’s old kibble, I decided to try these new ones. Despite a very long and slow transition, my dog couldn’t tolerate them at all. She had a lot of extremely smelly flatulence and her stools were also very soft and very foul-smelling. I tried switching back and doing the transition even more slowly, but as soon as I go past a certain percentage, the same problems start again.

After ordering this type of food for a long time, with our latest order of two new bags we noticed the kibble was greasier, and my dogs had stomach problems the whole time I fed them this food. Trying to help them, we switched to another type of food from the same brand (cold-pressed), but later had to stop that as well—because they changed the recipe, replacing fresh turkey meat with turkey meal. I will no longer order or recommend this brand.

I recommend it to anyone whose dogs are constipated ☹️ She eats it with incredible enthusiasm. She’s usually a picky eater. After just half the recommended amount, her stools became loose, green, and sticky, and she developed a rash. Poor dog, luckily we’re feeding her beef so we can limit the amount. This food is going straight in the bin. It’s a waste of money and bad for the dog’s health. We’re waiting for a completely different brand, and I’ll never buy this again.

I wanted to switch my dog’s kibble from his usual Specific brand. Even though I made a gradual transition between the two brands, he’s had constant diarrhoea. It’s a shame, the product seemed promising.

My dog got sick from this kibble – had trouble digesting it and had really bad diarrhoea. I don't recommend it.

Unfortunately, this is the first food that neither my Aussie nor my Border likes to eat or can tolerate… They had extreme flatulence and slimy green stools. I've never experienced this with any other food. I also find the kibble very small for medium and large dogs. Such a shame!

Our dog had been eating this food for over 2 years and it was fine, but recently it got worse because, just like in other reviews, diarrhoea and gas started appearing. We switched to a different food and the problem disappeared instantly.

Disaster! I have a Samoyed who’s not picky about food. Ever since I started giving him this variety, he’s had constant soft stools and gas. I had to mix it with rice... I don’t know what’s up with these kibbles, I see loads of people have the same problem. Check the batch and production!

We followed all the steps of the transition to the letter, but as soon as we switched to 100% Purizon, both my dogs developed severe diarrhoea. I gave them time to get used to these new kibbles, but they never managed to adapt. I won’t be ordering them again and I don’t recommend them either.

We’ve been buying this food for our mutt for a long time, but recently he’s started having frequent and smelly gas, as well as diarrhoea. After a few years, we’ll be moving away from Purizon and looking for something else...

My dog started farting a lot, had diarrhoea, and was itching. Never had any problems with food before.

My little dog used to really enjoy them, but unfortunately the last pack with the “new recipe” caused her problems with gas and diarrhoea, so I had to stop giving them to her.

I did a three-week transition from my previous kibble to Purizon. I wanted to switch because I found the ingredients really interesting. But ever since, my dog (pointer x setter) has been having diarrhoea every day. I’ve just gradually switched back to the old kibble (Edgard & Cooper) and everything’s back to normal. I’d already had this kind of trouble with my old dog, an Australian Shepherd. So that’s it for Purizon for us.
