Rocco Senior Classic Beef with Salmon - dog dry food

For adult dogs, it's not a bad food, but my dog didn't really like it. Maybe because beef and salmon are related to each other.

The kibble size is perfect for my senior dog, not too big, not too small – just right. He loves salmon, so he really enjoyed the flavour. Every time, he asks for more. I recommend this product—or rather, my four-legged friend does :)

The Rocco Classic Senior Beef with Salmon is very well received by our dog. He enjoys eating the food, and the size and texture of the kibbles are just right. The smell is pleasant and not too strong. Our dog also tolerates the food well. I also appreciate the composition, with a high proportion of animal ingredients and no grains. I think the price-performance ratio is fair too.

Oreo got to try out the Rocco Classic Senior Beef with Salmon dry food and, taste-wise, he definitely gives it a paw up. His bowl was emptied with enthusiasm every time, and the mix of beef and salmon seems to go down really well with him. From the owner's perspective, though, there are a few things I'd like to see improved. Especially for a senior food, I find the kibble a bit too hard. Older dogs often struggle with dental issues, so a slightly softer and easier-to-chew texture would suit the target group better, in my opinion. When it comes to the ingredients, I'd also like to see a bit of optimisation for senior food here and there. Since older dogs are usually less active, I personally would have preferred a lower amount of potatoes and sweet potatoes. But overall, that's more of an owner's concern. Oreo himself clearly didn't bother with the ingredient list and went straight for the taste test. A practical suggestion for improvement is the packaging. A zip-lock would be brilliant. That way, the bag could be easily resealed after opening and the food would stay fresh for longer. Our verdict: Taste-wise, Rocco Classic Senior Beef with Salmon definitely won Oreo over. As the owner, I see some room for improvement in the texture, ingredients, and packaging.

Our Bones was sceptical at first. The kibble is a bit hard for our old boy, but the smell won him over in the end. He gets on well with the food now. I really like the ingredients. The food provides everything an older dog needs.

Dry food with beef and salmon – definitely for dogs who like fish (that's the only downside, which actually isn't one 😉). The positives are the grain-free ingredients, easy digestibility, and the addition of dietary supplements like flaxseed. My dog feels great after eating it, and there were no digestive issues.

Very good food for seniors. Sensible ingredients and well tolerated. Everything's great. The bowl smells pleasant and is always emptied.

The Rocco Senior dry food with beef and salmon is a real hit with our older dog – he absolutely loves the taste. The kibble size is perfect for older dogs and can be chewed without any trouble. The only small downside is the bag closure, which is a bit tricky to seal airtight again after the first opening. All in all, though, dog owners get a high-quality food here with great value for money.

Well, what can I say. At first, Jimmy turned up his nose and walked away from the food bowl. Then he slowly came back to sniff around and ended up liking the food after all. He loves anything that’s mixed with fish. Personally, I always think grain-free is a great choice.

My 12-year-old standard poodle Neo tolerated the Rocco dry food well; the smell and the price are absolutely fine. Unfortunately, he doesn't like it that much. That's certainly a matter of personal preference, so I'm still giving it 4 out of 5 stars.
