My hamster loves this cabin playhouse so much, that he has moved out of his previous house and took up residence and comfort in this one. He too also stores his food in the different sections inside. A great buy fully recommended.

I also bought this for degus and was pleasantly surprised when one dove straight in! I was waiting to see a stuck little bum but they don't seem to have had a problem yet! There are a couple of bits of it that may be better suited to a smaller rodent but nothing that detracts from their enjoyment that I can see.

The night after we placed this unit inside our hamster's cage, he woke us up with his rather noisy relocation efforts. He had his choice of three houses, including the one that came with his original cage that he appeared to love, but he never bothered with the other two after we bought this Playhouse. He went straight into this roomy wooden box and made it his home. The next day, we lifted the lid to see what he had been up to and found one of the "rooms" packed floor-to-ceiling in cotton wool, and food stashed in various corners of the other rooms. He absolutely loves this house and the others have been completely abandoned. In hind sight, we should have bought a smaller cage because it's this affordable little house that he likes, not the 3-level townhouse cage we spent a fortune on!

This is bigger than you might think when looking at the picture. I bought it in the hope that my degus would fit in it and they do. They hide their food in it and soon got used to diving in one hole and out of another. There is even a little hole that leads under the ramp so none of the space is wasted. However, my degus can't fit in this bit but are chewing the hole so that they can! They can get into all the other compartments and turn around and come out. It's very funny when more than one have gone in there and have to work out how they can all get out again. The lid just lifts off...it's not attached or securely fitted. However, my degus don't knock it off and it just stays put. I would recommend this for any small rodent.

i bought this for my hamster she gets plenty of exersise and i hide food in side so she can find it !!!

We got this cabin for our dwarf hamster so she could come out of her cage without being eatin by our kittens. She likes to eat in there and peep her head out of the exits.Really good buy!
