Really good value for money however my cats didn't like the meat.
We needed cat food that you knew the whole list of ingredient due to having a cat highly allergic to a lot of things, its true that this food meets this requirement although he can only have a couple of flavours because of these allergies but he has finally found a food he loves. Our other cat has no allergies but is in general a fussier eater and occasionally she will eat it but mostly walks off when we try. Still very grateful we found what we need at a very good price
We changed to this food from Lily's individual trays, as recommended by a zooplus email, as t is considerably cheaper than Lily's but comparable quality. Both of our cats took to it straight away and leave clean bowls every time. They are fairly small cats and both eat 100g twice a day along with a top up Feringa biscuits. (We tried the sample pack before we committed to a full order)
My cats are on this plus Taste of the Wild dry food. They seem to prefer wet food but snack on the dry between meals. One of them had a lot of dandruff when we got her but since switching her food it is a lot better and her fur is much softer and shinier. I do find the product listing a bit confusing as there are so many pack variations.
I bought the trial pack as my cat is a fussy eater. The 6 x 200 grams trial pack came with one of every flavour. My boy devoured it every time. Really pleased to have found a good quality product that is good value for money. It looks like a paté sort of texture and it doesn't smell unpleasant too.
Despite this not being suitable for my (grain intolerant) cat, I would recommend giving it a try, as it really is good food & just like us, each cat is different & it seems to have suited most other cats judging by the majority of reviews. .
Bought this for its good reviews as it was suggested as a cheaper version of Animonda Carny. I find it much worth (by looks) and my cat agrees.
My little Bailey Bengal Boy really loves this and it's got a really high meat content!
Fantastic quality food that my pair of cats scoff quickly and lick the plate! Great that there is a mix of different protein sources to stop the cats getting too fussy or becoming intolerant to one. After researching what best to feed them we've settled on a mixture of this fantastic quality tinned food from Zooplus (Feringa and Animonda Carny), Butchers Complete tins and a commercial frozen raw food. My cats are so healthy with amazingly shiny coats and bags of energy. The vet was impressed!
I have a new rescue cat who was given a main supermarket brand but now eats only this and her poos are firm chocolate logs now! I would recommend it. They all like the rabbit and turkey the best, it is a nice texture and good value for money
Having researched about 15 different grain free brands I chose this one based on the fantastic reviews. Great quality food, beautifully packaged but 1 cat would not touch it , it gave 1 a really upset tummy and the other was sick. Called Customer Services and the very lovely Mari has arranged to refund me for the cans i havent used...bonus as i have had the same result with James Wellbeloved grain free which i also tried. Thank you Zooplus !!
My cat loves this food. He had been showing signs of being a bit fussy with some of the cheaper, more mainstream cat food. I think this actually smells really nice and meaty so i can understand why he licks his bowl clean each time! Definitely buying this from now on, I think the price is good too; it's worth it to know he is getting a healthy, delicious meal.
I have 6 cats and they all love this meat. Have tried a similar cheaper two previously but this brand was the winner. Looks to be good quality ingredients
A good quality food in large tins sadly my cats like a change the mixed pack of 6 was fab, alas you have stopped the mixed packs and I dont want 6 of one flavour, such a shame as its a high quality food
Feringa is cruelty free! Great value for money, my cats love it and my wallet loves it :)
My cat really loves these, convenient size tins if you are a one cat household.
I can highly recommend this cat food . It smells good and looks good. My 2 cats,( and 1 is a very fussy eater ) really love this brand. .Although this product is initially more expensive, it works out cheaper in the long run as there is no wastage, and my cats don't need to keep coming for food as it is so nourishing and filling.I highly recommend this product.
My cat loves this food and eats it all up, though as she is quite sensitive I have to feed her the poultry flavours only as anything eith beef or red meat gives her an upset tummy. It looks good quality, I often see what looks like whole kidneys inside it. It's the best value I've found of cat food with high meat content.
Started with feringa kitten food for our 2, which they absolutely thrived on. Gorgeous soft shiny coats. Now they are on the adult feringa and they continue to look beautiful. There is never an empty bowl!
My humans decided to treat me to this food- they adopted me from a shelter a few months ago and i dont like alot of the food they gave me previous! Sometimes i even get an upset tummy which can be embarassing because my humans then start spraying stuff at me and holding their noses... My Mum bought me this food, she said it was really good quality and a great price, she loves me so much that she reads all the labels and my food to make sure its good enough for a king like me. I really like the smell... really meaty and i love all the flavours and i love how ive been able to try lots of new fancy flavours too! Ive noticed i dont cough anymore and i dont get any fur stuck in my throat either. I must say i feel hungry all the time now but thats just because the food my slaves give me is just so tasty. My mum even lets me snuggle in bed with her because she said im so soft now and i dont leave fluffy bits everywhere. Mum said she'll keep treating me to this food, so its paws up from me!
Thought I would give this a try for my renal cat as a treat and I never seen him eat anything so quickly he loved it.as soon as you open the tin you can see an smell the quality the consistency was just perfect as due to his illness suffers from occational ulsers we also have him on katovit renal that he also likes but will certainly give him more feringa as a special treat as it contains the highest quality human grade protein
My two love this, although it looks very similar to the Animonda Carny which they only nibble, the Feringa invariably gets eaten all up.
I always payed a lot of attention to the food my cats eat, so they've always been on good quality food like Lily's Kitchen etc. Feringa is best choice for my cats. It's cheap, contains good ingredients (no grains, lot of meat, some veggies added) and my cats absolutely love it. I love it too! Their coats are very shiny, no tummy problems and they really like the taste. I always buy mixed pack and my cats like all available versions.
Even the least picky of my cats is obviously extra happy when this comes on rotation, and the most picky about licks the glaze off the dish. The pate is coarse enough to show decent quality meat with chunks of veg/herbs, it smells like "real" food too. Some varieties can be a little fatty but as a part of their diet it's not a problem - if it's too much it's in easily removed lumps. Overall a top quality food that's comparable to and often better than far more expensive brands.
We rescued a cat & a kitten (mother & baby) they were on a sensitivity diet which was so expensive but their motions were good on that. So it was suggested we tried grain free. The cat has had no upset tummy since, her fur looks a lot better & she is much happier now. We have even switched the kitten to this and he's been fine. It's very good quality food.
This food ticks all the boxes and my fussy cat loves the poultry flavours. Her previous food was making her itchy and many other brands upset her tummy so we are both really happy with Feringa.
At the beginning I was quite enthusiastic when I saw the texture and my cat ate a little bit of it (tried the poultry one). But then my entire apartment smelled like decomposing garbage. It was absolutely unbearable even with open windows. If my cat would eat a bowl in one sitting maybe it wouldn't be that bad... but she's not that sort of a cat. So I won't open the next can. the ingredients and texture seem appealing, but if you can't feed it to cats outdoors..
I only wanted to feed my new pair of Raggies decent food without grains and rubbish in and so I chose this brand to try. They love it and make so much noise when I get a can out! I mix it with their biscuits and a tin lasts me two or three meals for two cats.
High meat content and grain free so all I'm looking for in a wet food. My boy has eaten every single variety until the bowl sparkles including the fishy flavours which he has previously turned his nose up at. The 200g tin is a great size too! Highly recommended!
My two cats love Feringa canned food. One of the cats is rather picky and refused a few other brands, but Feringa seems to be a hit with her. My cats tried most of the flavours and liked them all, lamb and rabbit being the absolute favourite for both cats. They lick the bowls clean! My cats have been this canned food for about 7 months. They are in good health, have shiny fur and are energetic. The picky cat also stopped having runny stools after switching to Feringa. Excellent cat food!
Having tried many Grain-free, High Protein, No nasties wet foods this is the one I'm most inclined to write a review on. Recognisable bits of animal and vegetable are a plus, as it means it's all the good stuff for an obligate carnivore. With Feringa (we get the mixed saver packs for variety) I only need to give them a 200g pot for dinner between them which leaves clean bowls, happy tummies and the offers on Zooplus are good value for money.
My cats adore Feringa. Its great quality with no nasty additives for a fair price.
We are swapping our cats from the kitten food to the adult food. They love the kitten food and go mad for it but unfortunately do not seem to like the adult food? I don't know why as the kitten food they adore but they will not eat the adult version.
Goes down well they don't love it as much as other brands but they will it happily especially the rabbit and trout flavours not so keen on the salmon one
I chose the 200g tin mix to see if this was a food that would suit my kitten, he loved all apart from the trout flavour. I would definitely buy this brand in the future.
My cats are fairly picky but will accept this food as part of a varied diet. It's a little high in fat, so I balance it out with lower-fat supplementary foods. Only one little issue: I live in a country where summers are very hot. When temperatures reach around °30, contents seem to expand and there's a little food explosion whenever I open a new can. This does not happen with any of the other brands I'm using. Be careful not to get juice in your eyes!
I really like the look of this food and bought the trial pack of dry and wet feeling hopeful as my cat is so fussy, he was already on grain free dry but been finding it hard to find grain free wet food, unfortunately, my cat will not eat the wet food, I tried one of each flavour but he refused it. He does seem to like the dry but has been having hair loss problems in a large area at back of his neck and seems very itchy, I am taking care of this and it is slowly getting better. Some times a change of food can effect the cats coat (my cat really does have sensitive digestive issues, I think he has some siamese in him and he is a house cat because I need keep a eye on his urine and health in general).I prefer the large size kibble bites of this dry food compared to the previous dry food because my cat is more able to chew before swallowing so reducing vomiting from undigested food. My cat had a couple of teeth removed last year so has been having semi soaked dry ever since to aid digestion and I add some boiled (cooled) peas and sweetcorn to the dry too. My cat tends to become a dry food junkie if I do not measure and control his meals. My cat seems to only like boiled white fish so I shall need to accept this now as I do believe Feringa is a good quality of grain free cat food, just sad that he wouldn't take to the wet food too as I am trying to plan for when he gets old or has no teeth, I shall perhaps continue with softening his dry with some vegetables and some water for now, if this is what he really likes. A little dry food on its own can help to clean the teeth.
Sadly my cat has cancer and getting him to eat is getting very hard, specially because he's extremely fussy and even being hungry and not having nausea he doesn't eat well. I have bought several brand foods, and his favourite of all by far is the Feringa Duo, particularly the one with duck and veal. He also tried the single protein ones, but they didn't work. The chicken and beef were completely ignored, not only by him but also by my 2 other cats. For me all the flavours smell almost the same, but clearly my cats notice the differences even from far away. So for now (because I know that he might change his mind at any moment and stop eating, which worries me more in the short time than his having cancer), Feringa Duo has saved his life. Very convenient size can too, the 400g are too big and as they only need 200g per day it's easy to make sure that they eat all they need.
with lots of jellies my cats love. then its grain free and free of any artificial coloring and addictive. its complete diet.
My cat loves most of these flavours but will not touch the trout and chicken with potatos combination (which I didn't like the smell of either). However this is probably down to individual tastes as a friends cat gobbled it down. Still looking for something my cat will go crazy over like the Royal Canin Kitten instinctive in gravy
