TIAKI Whale Ceramic Drinking Fountain

It was really quiet, you could only hear the water a little. But it started leaking from the hole with the silicone plug for the cable. Lasted about a month. I also tried replacing the pump, which had a new silicone thingy, but it still leaked.

The fountain is really beautiful. Plus, it's easy to clean and the ceramic surface is a big plus for me. Unfortunately, the pump and filter are only attached with suction cups, so you need to fiddle with it a bit to get them positioned correctly with the lid. A major downside, and the reason I ended up not using the fountain and got a different one, is the very unstable stream. It splashes everywhere, so when the cats tried to drink, it usually just went up their noses and then they were scared to try again. So I bought a fountain with a 'tap' and it's much better.

It really is a cute design and the idea behind it is also very good. But unfortunately, the product falls short—the motor part with the suction cup isn’t built so it can reach from the bottom to the whale section. The suction cup also can’t stick to the lid. So you have to get a bit creative yourself to make it work. The motor itself isn’t strong enough either to pump the water for long; once the water level drops by about a quarter of a litre, it can’t pump the water up anymore.
