SureFeed Sealed Pet Bowl

The cat with severe IBD and therefore on a special diet just manages to break into the SureFeed. It was already secured with an extra lid. I was suspicious and set up a camera, and it was clearly visible that he could still steal some kibble. As a result, another serious intestinal inflammation and again a lot of money spent at the vet. The idea is nice, but unfortunately it's not suitable when a cat really can't have any other food.

I've had the feeder for 2 years now.. they claim with Duracell batteries it'll last 6 months.. but honestly, it's more like 3 months. And they say the feeder has a lifespan of 6 years.. but really, it's 2 years because the motor has already given up. Also, it's really awkward for a Maine Coon to eat from it because the arch gets in the way a lot. So if you're still thinking about buying it.. DON'T do it for a big cat.

For this price, I really expected it to have a rechargeable battery, but instead you still have to use batteries, and a size that no one ever has at home. The part that hangs over the tray, in my opinion, hangs very low. My cat doesn't dare go under it, even after weeks of trying. Really a shame for such an expensive tray.

I also find it really disappointing that the chip section can't be adjusted in height. It hangs very low, so the cats have to really crouch down to reach the food. Unfortunately, mine just won't do that, even after weeks of trying. Such a shame :/

Fails within a year or less. Sure will only replace it once, even if it breaks again after a few months. Look for another brand. It's a rip-off.

Cleaning is a nightmare, there's mould and you can't remove the side windows either. I paid 170 CHF for it, and it's definitely not worth it.

Hi I have two cats. One of them has this kind of feeder, but an older model, and it works perfectly. It closes quickly when she leaves. The new one I bought for my other cat, who needs veterinary food, takes much longer to close (even on the fastest setting!) It takes more than 5 seconds before it even starts to close! The first cat learned on day one that if she queues up, she can eat the rest of the food, which is basically everything. So the new feeder is completely pointless.

I thought it was a microchip-activated bowl, to stop the cats from swapping bowls... But in the end, the bowl opens as soon as it detects any movement passing by.

I have two cats, so I bought two of these feeders (with chip). They work perfectly fine in that regard. But the plastic/rubber bowls cause skin irritations and my cats won’t eat the food anymore. Also, the lids never close completely. Cleaning is incredibly time-consuming, especially with wet food, which really defeats the purpose of making things “easier”.

My mum bought some Surefeed bowls like this one about a month ago. 1. These bowls apparently have a known issue with the automatic lid mechanism. She had this problem with 3 out of 4 bowls in total. 2. She paid around €110 per bowl, had one bowl replaced twice, and she’s sending them all back for good this week. I’m especially shocked, given all the problems with these bowls, that the price has actually gone up. And by €40, no less! It’s disgraceful!

I've already had to reorder the stainless steel bowls for the third time in a short period. Even though I only wash them by hand, the rubber seals break quickly! Other than that, I'm happy with the machine – it's really durable!

The stainless steel bowls don’t live up to their promises at all. After a very short time, the edges—which are supposed to keep the food fresh and airtight—start coming apart, tearing, or even coming off the rim of the bowl completely. And I haven’t even put them in the dishwasher; I always wash them by hand. This has happened to me for the second time now. The quality is really poor. I’m very disappointed.

Since the first machine developed a technical life of its own after just 7 months (blinking, randomly opening and closing the flap), I urgently needed a replacement. The product box already showed signs of use inside in one spot. The device itself did too, as it had dirt (probably from food, among other things) and was obviously already used. At this price and for hygiene reasons, I expect a new device. That's why 1 star.

Everything seemed to be going well, but I've been using it for just a month and it already doesn't work. The lid popped open and won't close again. Now I have to figure out how to fix it.
