Ignored it at first, but now....
...she's got the hang of it. I wanted something to stimulate her for when I'm away, and she also needs to lose some weight, so thought it would be good to make her work a little for her food. She completely ignored it for almost a week, until I put a few of her favourite treats on top of the food, and now she really seems to enjoy using it. I purchased a 'slim ball' at the same time, and am happy to report that she is slimming down and looking better.

Fantastic Product for Multicat Homes!
In a nut shell, this toy is huge! I have 3 adult cats, and all 3 can comfortably play this this at the same time. 1 cat has some sight problems, but because of the levels being light colours, and the openings being very big, she can see what she is doing with little to no problems. best tenner I've spent in a long time.

Too easy to tip over
Not a good purchase for our big five year old tom cat. He just stands on it tipping the whole thing over

Genius cat
I ordered it in a Christmas pack + a drinking fountain, great value. My cats really like the whole Catit Activity Centre sett. The reason why I am just giving four stars, because the Food Maze does not have a lid. My bigger cat figured out in a few seconds she shouldn't been bothering trying to get the treats from the sides when she can easily reach them from the top. The rest of the set is arriving in a couple of days, I believe they will like the new parts as well.
Not a big excitement, but here how they are using the maze: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hgkGOY9gp8&feature=youtu.be

Best thing ever
Our 4 cats love this. It's the easiest way to free feed without your cat over indulging. We are about to buy our second one so we can have a choice of dry food upstairs and down.
Agree with others that covering the top is a quick fix to stop your trickier kitty eating from the top.
Love the catit range.

Really not interested !
It's a pity as I got the 3 toys together in a pack and the only one that is of the most interest is the ball in the track which my moggy loves. I have now passed this item on to the PDSA to see if any other moggy would enjoy!

Excellent for food obsessed cats
this is a fantastic way to slow down eating in greedy cats - mine will eat everyhing she can as fast as she can, but this slows down the gobbling. I have has to cover the gap at the top (a cork heat mat works perfectly) or she just stands on her back legs and sticks her face in.

Didn't last
Initially the cat was intrigued by having to manoeuvre the biscuits out but it was constantly putting her paws on top of the tower which resulted in it always falling over. This is poorly designed in that respect which is a pity as it had the potential to be pretty good otherwise. We gave up after a few days and have passed it on to the cat shelter.

Cat loves it. Takes treat balls.
I bought this because I was tired of hunting down treat balls when they rolled down the side of the cooker.
It took a few hours for my Siamese to figure it out. But once she did WOW!
Some other reviewers have noted that a cat can get wise to the maze and either knock it over, or attack from above.
My cat is less than 4kg and although she has come close, she hasn't knocked it over.
As for access to the top, I put my SlimCat Treat ball in there. It has room to spin and adds an extra "difficulty level" to the maze.
It was so successful, I decided to go a step further. I'd bought the Snack Ball Cat Toy at the same time. It fits perfectly in the middle level and ups the difficulty even further!
My cat now spends about 30 minutes hunting and catching her dry food servings.
She is sick far less often now.
The maze looks so good, that my baby nephew even wanted to play with it!
Easy to dismantle and clean.

Head First
My cat absolutely loves this maze at first he used his paws to knock the treats through now though he just dives in head first and eats from the top ... talk about lazy :) .. but it's a fantastic gadget and keeps him occupied for ages ..

Not for the very intelligent cat
Our eleven month old cat was capable of using the food maze one minute after being introduced to it.
She then got frustrated, grabbed hold of one of the edges with her teeth, shook it, and then pulled the maze over and all the biscuits came out. The base needs to be heavier. We have wedged the base with a block of wood and tried tying the maze to something else but she still manages to pull it over. We have gone back to the drawing board.

Addicted
This isn't for every cat, I have four and only one is absolutely addicted to getting her biscuits out of it. When its empty she will ignore a bowl of biscuits and sit next to it till the same biscuits are put in it for her to hook out! One or two of the other cats may have the odd play, but I can understand why some cats aren't bothered. It has been very useful for letting her have the biscuits she wants that I don't want the others to get at...one is a piggy and can't be asked and another is on renal food and doesn't touch it either. For my fur family it's brilliant.

Great toy and feeder
Got this to slow down a kitten eating. At first she didn't know how it worked but my 12 cat year old figured it out right away and showed her how and now she loves it. Wasn't sure if it would be worth it or just gather dust but definitely worth the money and great fun at feeding times too.

Great!
I recently rehomed a cat from a rescue centre and, as I was going to be at work all day, I decided to buy one of these to keep him amused! The first meal he had, I put into a normal dish and it was gone in a matter of minutes...I don't think he even chewed some of the biscuits! The second meal I put into the Food Maze. Wow! What a difference! After a few seconds of confusion he'd worked out how to get his biscuits out of it (the correct way...I put a bowl over the hole from the start just to make sure he didn't cheat!). Over the course of the next 2 hrs (he'd come and have a cuddle with me in the lounge, and then would go back to it) he finished all the biscuits. Total success! :)

No more bad manners at meal times!
My three cats were always scoffing their food down at 90 miles per hour! No more having to feed them separately or having three food bowls on the floor! My dogs cannot get to the food so that's another plus point-It took my youngest cat under 3 mins to work out how to get her breakfast-took my middle cat ages to work out how to get food out and decided it was to much trouble and promptly stuck his head in the top BUT when he tried to get his head back out found it was stuck he went round the room with dispenser over his head and the food all over the floor!(Now got a saucer over the top of dispenser)My oldest cat just waits for everyone else to paw the treats into bottom bowl!
Love the food maze -fantastic value for money- its well made- Great idea to allow the maze to have different levels of play.My cats now eat more slowly and when they want to as the food maze is available to them all the time. Also there is no more scrapping and swearing over who eats the most food! A def 5/5 or me AND my cats!

Good, but could do with a wobble
I bought this to entertain my indoor cats and to make feeding for them more interesting. They learned the "trick" very quickly and then the male learned that by tipping it over all the food comes out.
I'm pleased with the product, but would suggest a self-righting mechanism (wobble) in future versions.

love the food maze
My two persian kittens love the food maze one figure it out pretty quick the other one just waits for the food to fall out. As other customer have said it is not very stable and can fall over (my kittens are small) Is worth the money for the hours of fun.

Great for slowing down feed times.
Fab, robust product.
Given it a few modifications such as, plasticine in base (as tips over when pulled) and a lid to stop the savage one eating out of the top!
It keeps the kitty cats entertained and out of trouble for ages!
Well worth the money and fits nicely with the rest of the Catit range that they now have. Spoilt brats!
