Trixie Protective Fencing for Tilting Windows - White

I`m happy with the product as it is simple to install and now we feel safe to leave windows open. The upper part was a bit short for one window, but I guess it was our mistake not to measure the window.

My windows open outwards and in the bottom part. I couldn't find a way to secure them as most of the nets or fences suit windows that open inwards. I used a strong velcro (could not attach them permanently as I rent the apt. and the landlord would not accept that) and attached the fences to the window itself, and not to the frame. This works perfectly and finally I feel that my cat is safe! Will buy more for other windows before summer.

Unfortunately, the itmes arrived without any instructions and they did not find the UK tilting windows even if the measurements on the descriptions were correct

Unfortunately, they don’t fit my windows – they’re too long. I also don’t know how they’re supposed to be attached so that they don’t just fall out. Screwing them onto the window isn’t really possible – there was also no mounting material, no instructions, nothing included. Otherwise, very sturdy.

Since I'm not allowed to drill into the frames of my PVC windows, I tried sticking the protective grilles on; so far, only one has stayed in place for about 15 days, while all the others end up falling off after a while, despite trying different types of double-sided adhesive tapes.

I can't use them on double-glazed windows. Money wasted.

The grilles are quite alright, a really good invention if you have cats. What bothers me, though, is that even though the description says you can stick the grille on, it doesn’t actually work, not even with the tape mentioned in the product description. It just doesn’t hold – the grilles gradually fell off, and some couldn’t be stuck on at all because the little metal plates where you’re supposed to put the tape aren’t welded on straight, so you can’t really stick it properly to a flat surface. So even though I didn’t want to drill into the windows, now I have to. Considering all that, I think the price is too high.

Easy to install, they're safe for our tomcat and we can relax knowing that.
