Trixie Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box

The product stopped rotating and the hinge for the catch tray door completely failed after only 7 months of ownership. It is also difficult to deep clean and clean litter leaks out the bottom onto the floor with every rotation.

We have this one(1!!) for more than a year for our 3 cats and we simply could not live with it anymore. As it's being used for quire a lot ,we wipe the inside every day and empty the 'bin' part and that's it. It is very safe, hygienic and easy to use. 100%recommended

Really happy with this litter box, our cat who was used to open box regular litter boxes used it without hesitation. Everything is disposed to a bagged bin compartment and the smell does not escape unless opened. But you can still see everything in ase you need to check the health of your cat The sensors work well, it always detected when he had done his thing and the drum is removable to be hosed down and cleaned. It seems very safe during rotation, it goes slow and quietly and does not close

A thorough cleaning is really very difficult, and once the litter box is filled with water, it becomes extremely heavy. A lot of litter ended up underneath the box. And after just 23 months, part of the silicone (where the litter goes) developed a hole. Fortunately, zooplus was very responsive and offered me a replacement or a refund after I returned the litter box (I was still within the legal warranty period). I definitely recommend the PETKIT much more! But on the other hand, zooplus customer service is excellent!

Unfortunately, this automatic litter box hasn't solved the bad smell in the bathroom that I had with the regular litter. I was hoping it would be more hygienic, but that's not the case. It's hard to clean, there's always some dirt left somewhere. It still smells even after cleaning it with disinfectant. My cat often pees outside because she can't get in. Basically, I'm only using it to make up for the cost, otherwise I would have already gotten rid of it...

I agree with those who aren't fully satisfied with the product. The worst thing is the smell coming from the automatic litter box: I've already washed it several times and keep changing the bag, but just one trip from my cat and when the litter dumps the waste into the bag, the bathroom becomes unbearable. I tried to find filters or air fresheners but none exist for this litter box. Also, my cat can't get in properly and often pees outside. It's way too expensive for what it's worth...

Bought it a year ago, it does the job and is really handy, especially with several cats. However, it doesn’t always activate after they’ve used it, or sometimes not fully. I often have to trigger it manually, and a lot of litter ends up falling underneath the tray. The real downside is cleaning it thoroughly, as it’s heavy and the drum can’t be taken apart. I’m planning to buy a second one, but not this model, just because of the cleaning issue.

There’s no full bag indicator and my cats scatter litter everywhere, digging from the outside and throwing it to the front of the box, spreading it all over the house... There’s no app, which is really missing. And it’s very hard to clean and even to refill the litter.

I've had it for 3 weeks now, it's great! Both my cats have taken to it—one in 10 seconds 😂, the other in 12 hours.

More effort needed for the full cleaning than with a normal litter box. I regret ordering it. The silicone mat broke after 3 weeks.

I expected more from this device – there are no anti-odour stones, it smells really bad, and I still have to clean it by hand. With a device like this, I would expect the right bags to be included... I'm really disappointed. I contacted Trixie directly and asked if they had anti-odour tablets, but unfortunately, they don't have them in their range, which I just can't understand!

The drum of the cat litter box is very heavy and awkward to handle when it comes to thorough cleaning. After about half a year of use, the drum smells very unpleasant despite regular, thorough cleaning. This smell is almost impossible to get rid of. 😕

I bought this litter box a few months ago, but unfortunately, despite cleaning it daily with disinfectant, it still smells strongly of urine! Since I got a new box, I decided to take everything apart, and to my shock, under the mat it was all soaked with urine… Very disappointed, I actually used to love this brand… PS: For a thorough clean, make sure to remove all the screws…

We have 6 cats at home, all of them use it—one tried it out on the very first day and the others followed, so within a month they were all using it. I change the bag about every 3 days. I use Multicats litter. I clean the whole toilet once every two months. It’s a bit heavy to handle, but the benefits are worth it. We still have a couple of regular litter boxes, but the cats hardly use them anymore—there’s a queue for this one like on Wenceslas Square. The only downside is that when I top up the litter, I have to unplug it because the toilet thinks the new weight is a cat and won’t rotate. But it’s 100% worth it.

Unfortunately, it's not easy to clean. The drum is heavy and sand always gets stuck in the corners. The waste container also doesn't seal tightly enough, so it smells very unpleasant. Since everything is made of plastic, odours linger. Not suitable for tomcats that pee standing up. Somehow, urine leaks out in one spot.

We've had it for 6 months now and we don't regret it, even though there are a few little "meh" points, which is a shame. - Cleaning the whole tray is a real nightmare, almost impossible!! - Can't connect Bluetooth and the brand is really unresponsive! Still, the litter box works and my two cats aren't traumatised.

We bought this a couple of months ago and we’re just so happy with it. It’s almost completely silent and really easy to use. And the cat finds it very exciting haha. It’s definitely worth the price!

Very practical and useful

This is exactly what I needed and it does its job consistently. It doesn’t mess up like the Smart ones do. My cats, all four of them, queued up while I was setting it up and then went in one by one. The only thing I didn’t like was that it’s missing the green frame from the picture that holds the rubbish bag. But it works fine anyway. Thank you, Zooplus

It really does its job. The room smells a lot less and my cat used it straight away. In my case, the downside is that a lot of litter comes out from underneath.
