Thank goodness!
I've ways hated Hills. Ropey food, over subsidised for vets. I developed a cat allergy and got a pedigree vs my usual rescue mog and put him on high quality meat/fish food. About 14 months old he gets all allergic and the vet put him on z/d wet as he's always been high protein wet food. Well, it stopped the reaction but the wet food was dreadful - I thought it looked and smelled disgusting and so did the cat. I ordered the dry as an alternative and I swear my cat thought all his Christmases had come at once - no reaction and a clean bowl within minutes every time. So I highly recommend dry z/d, but only if your cat needs specialist food.

Does the Job
Our cat has been licking himself constantly until he had no fur left on his back end and legs. Our vet recommended this product as it seemed to be a food allergy that our cat has. Its now been five weeks and there's a vast improvement on our cat. He doesn't lick anywhere near as much now and his fur is starting to grow back. Please note that this is the only food he is having and nothing else whatsoever. We seem to have narrowed the allergy down to chicken, which can be common in most wet & dry cat foods but Hills Z/D does the job for us. Expensive, but better than our cat being on steroids for the rest of his life.

Worked Perfectly
Like another reviewer I adopted 2 cats from the same shelter, a few months apart... history unknown. They both had bouts of diarrhea, smelly and bloody stool. Within a week or 2 of switching to this food as recommended by my vet there was amazing improvement. They have been on this food now for a few years with normal stools.

Our saviour!
My Kiko (12) suffered for 3 years from a terrible itching disease and had huge clawed bloody spots on her ears, head and chin. It always began with little scabby bits but within days they became large areas with scraped wounds. She started getting an antibiotic injection every three months and cortisone injections to reduce inflammation. The combination is ESSENTIAL, because if only cortisone is used the bacteria multiply and things get worse! After these treatments the wounds heal and the itching goes away for about 2-3 months. Our vet also recommended Hills 'z/d' and what can I say: Kiko is symptom-free for nine months. The food is so tasty her sister eats it with enthusiasm (they've both put on a nice bit of weight since we started this diet). The success and full acceptance with my cats totally justifies the high price of this food for me (zooplus is actually the cheapest supplier I've found). The protein in this food is ground so small that the body no longer recognises it as an allergen. I would definitely recommend this strongly! 100% satisfied!!! Big thanks to Hill's!

The only food that doesn't make my cats sick
I have two persian cats who are both extremely sensitive to food/allergies. I tried almost every product (incl. natural and organic) but they continued to be regularly sick during the night. My vet recommended this product and I can honestly say that the sickness stopped overnight.
Cats like the taste (although I know they would prefer their regular previous food - Royal Canin but it's just not good for them).
Zooplus offers the cheapest deal and fantastic service!

Constant licking
I have two cats aged about 10 years, and one has suddenly started to lick himself up the abdomen, thighs and legs until he was basically naked. I originally got this from the vet, but it's much cheaper here. The transition from the last food to this one was smooth, and the fur is growing back! Very highly recommended!!

Worked fast and worked well!
I adopted 3 adult cats from a shelter, all with unknown histories. One, Hannah, always had a runny tummy. At the start it was just loose poop in the litter tray. As it got worse it ended up as poop like water, and blood was appearing.
The vet treats with this liquid, that pill, this paste - to a cat that is almost impossible to handle (I adopted her because no one else would and I am happy to home a very scared timid cat). There was talk of a bowel biopsy.
I changed vet. Good move! New vet says it is probably a food sensitivity. It took a few foods until we landed on this one. It seems Hannah cannot digest the standard proteins. Less than 3 weeks after starting this food, and Hannah's litter tray visits are normal and blood free already. And she is so much more comfortable.
Fantastic food!!!!!!

Great for cats with chicken allergy
Our cat Kali has allergies to chicken, duck, carrots, white potatoes, soya and yeast according to blood tests and her gastro symptoms. Most cat food has chicken in it, including Z/D but Z/D's is broken down into small proteins so her body can't recognise it and react to it. Her black coat is shining and no more dandruff. No more upset tummy or nausea and she loves it too. She doesn't get bored of it. Our other two cats love it as well. One has kidney disease so he needs a low phosphorus diet and dried z/d is low in phosphorus. We can't leave k/d dried food around for him as Kali is allergic to its ingredients ( and her tummy allergies were so and she was hospitalised for a week) so z/d is good for our kidney disease cat as well as he seems to be doing really well on it and other low phosphorus wet food.

Good food!
I had bought this food for my old cat lady and she very happily devoured it. Unfortunately she has such a strong food allergy that she even had symptoms with the Low Allergen ones that we had to switch to the Ultra Allergen Free food from Hills. However our experience with other cats tells us that it's a super food for cats with sensitive stomachs or allergies.

Definitely helped
Sadly I also have a cat at home who shows symptoms of allergies when I give him the wrong food, including a lot of itching and licking/scratching, sometimes until he bleeds. This food was a great help. The kibble is very small, so he tends to gobble it down without really chewing it. However, he clearly loves it and my other cat will also meow at me for more once it's all gone.

Helped my cat stop licking herself bald
Our 13 year old suddenly began to lick her belly so much that it went bald, and then started on the inside of her thighs, but she didn't seem to have any signs of illness. My vet recommended switching to this food, and only feeding her Hill's - so no more cat milk, cream etc. She immediately took to this food, and her obsessive cleaning got less and less each week. Eventually the hairs started growing back on her tummy and thighs, and now the baldness has almost gone completely. We'll definitely keep feeding our old lady this food.

FANTASTIC
I'm so happy you added this product here. I used to go to the vet every month because he never wanted to sell me more than one pack. I have one cat with allergies but other one is perfectly normal- still have to give them same food.
So far the best product, must be tasty because he can't stop eating :)

Stopped Scratching
Our Maine Coon Phoebe has scratched from being a kitten. Her poor face was in such a state the vets thought she had cancer. After a biopsy it was found to be allergy to multiple foods. These biscuits have now stopped her scratching for a continuous period of 3 months and it has shown in her personality and how happy she is now.

the only food that stopped cronic diarrhoea
My sphynx cats have very sensitive stomach, I tried every single food for sensitive tummies (even Prescriptions I/D specially for upset stomachs)not even probiotics helped. After starting with this food, 1 week later they were having solid poos, finally !! Very expensiv but worth it :)
