Makes my cat sick

My cat was used to the stuffed kibbles for senior cats from Royal Canin, which he loved. Since they stopped making them, we've been searching for alternatives. In any case, it won't be these kibbles, as they give him diarrhoea. We've tried several, and as soon as she eats them again, it starts all over again 🫤

Repetitive and Dishonest Reviews

Honestly, my cat used to devour the previous version (rectangular croquettes), but with this new version he backs off and won’t eat them.

No comparison with the 12+

My cats only eat the new product reluctantly – it stays in their bowls much longer, completely different from the 12+ where I could barely keep up with refilling it. It would be great if the 12+ was available again.

Simply inedible, say my cats

This is supposed to be an improved version of Royal Canin Ageing 12+. It seems they’ve changed the recipe and the type of kibble, probably to cut production costs. My cats won’t eat it, not even when mixed with other dry food. I just don’t understand why they always have to change something that works well. When cats have been eating the same food for years and suddenly it’s no longer available, it’s simply irresponsible and incomprehensible. I can’t buy Royal Canin anymore.

Poor—nothing improved, just more cutbacks!

This is supposed to be a revised product of Royal Canin Ageing 12+. This dry food is just terrible now. The cats won’t eat it. The previous version was simply great—my cats loved it. Now I have to look for a new replacement product. I won’t be buying this again. Had to throw it away. “Revised and improved recipe” here just means cheaper production. If you’d just made the old one more expensive, I would still have bought it.

Fit for the bin

Since the food was changed, my cat has been vomiting it up. The food that was taken off the market was loved. This one is only good for throwing in the bin.

Worse than the previous one

The food isn’t the same as before and my cat got an upset stomach from it.

Not good…

My cats, aged 17 and 13, without teeth, are really upset that the old ageing version has been discontinued and replaced with this one. They swallow these pills whole, which results in vomiting.

Preferred DEMANDING AROMA OR DEMANDING FLAVOUR

Out of my 5 cats, 2 of them are 18 years old, and none of them liked it, not even the Fuxi one (I’m not sure if that’s the exact name) either. I still have almost the whole 2 kg bag left. They used to like AROMA EXIGENTE or Savor EXIGENTE, but Royal Canin doesn’t have them anymore.

POOR QUALITY

The reviews are all the same and none of my cats like it... it leaves their fur in terrible condition....

Severe diarrhoea

I tried these senior kibbles because the Virbac ones are too big and my cat had severe diarrhoea. What a waste of money. I'm going back to Virbac and cutting the kibbles in half.

Horrible

The old one was great, but these are round, sticky kibbles that not even the 14-year-old eats... Nor the 6-year-old... Nor the youngster. Not a single one touches it!

My cat doesn't like it

My 14-year-old cat had been taking the old formula for years, I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal to switch but now she’s not eating this one at all. I don’t know which one to try next because there isn’t anything similar.

Old format

My cat hates it, she was used to the previous one. I feel like a lot of the reviews might not be that honest.

No acceptance

Unfortunately, the old, much-loved Ageing 12 has been discontinued by the manufacturer and replaced with the new Ageing 11+ and 15+. Despite extensive attempts, my Coonies just won’t accept it. Such a shame, I’ll probably have to switch to another brand. I always find it annoying when manufacturers feel the need to change or replace their products!

The new formula isn’t good.

My elderly cat, for whom I buy this food, doesn’t even want to sniff the new formula. She really liked the old one.

I don't like it

I’m really disappointed with this new version of Royal Canin. My cat refuses to eat it.
