Cozy ecoLIFE Dog Bed Grey

The playpen itself is fine, but the blanket attached with Velcro lost all its Velcro strips after the first wash. The Velcro on the playpen itself is also coming off. Poor way of attaching them—they should have been sewn on.

Well, when I think of an 'orthopaedic' dog bed, I imagine something different—mainly a softer surface, like with gel foam, for example. Instead, this is a so-called memory foam mattress that's 5cm thick and makes you feel like you're lying right on the floor. By chance, I had a thick, soft dog cushion and used that to fill the bed. The edge isn't very sturdy and the Velcro fasteners on the cover don't hold. I wouldn't recommend it.

You definitely pay a hefty premium for the cute design. It looks nice, but in my opinion it's completely overpriced. For the price, I would have expected at least Velcro or press studs for the thin cushion (which is more like fabric). It slips out of place every time you use it. The cushion itself doesn't even cover the full length of the roll. Still, it's a nice-looking toy.

The frame's ribs tear the fabric at the bottom very quickly. But as long as it's whole, the cat loves to play in there.

I read some of the comments and I don't think the foam is too thin. However, the cover is pretty poor. The Velcro fasteners are just stuck on, so they don't hold well, and when you wash the cover, they stick to the plush material. It's really annoying to separate them again. I think the Velcro should be sewn on and maybe have a (foldable) cover for washing. (Just a suggestion)

I found the material thinner than the grey cover, and the brown cover didn’t survive either. The grey cover is now the only one left, still in good condition.

The wooden part is great, but the cushion isn’t cream-coloured, it’s more yellowish. It’s also thinner than the cushions I’m used to from, for example, the scratching post and barrel. I was quite disappointed, so only three stars.

My tomcat loves it, so we decided to keep it. We did have to do a bit of tinkering though. Unfortunately, the glue from the Velcro strips came off the mounting rings. It was clear from the start that it hadn’t been stuck on properly. Also, the brackets don’t fit exactly onto our radiator pipes. But that’s not really the product’s fault – it’s probably meant for longer radiators.

The dog bed would be brilliant, the edge is great. However, the cushion or lying surface is only made of flakes. I cut a 10 cm high gel foam topper to size so that even the raised edge under the bolsters is filled. Now it’s perfect, just wish there were covers that don’t shed fluff.
