I have moved to this brand from previously feeding royal canin. After realising actually how bad Royal Canin is i went on the hunt for a higher meat content and grain free food as my dog seems to be suffering with food allergies which is a very new. I have seen a huge difference in my dog since switching to this food, he no longer nibbles his paws and legs, seems to have a lot more energy. He is always bringing his toy to me to play and darts around the garden which before he seemed so miserable
I cannot recommend this food highly enough. My Golden Retriever suffered from sporadic seizures since she was six months old (she's now almost 9). The vet could not pinpoint why. After a lot of research, I decided three years ago to completely change her diet to Applaws & a small amount of fresh meat. She has not had another seizure since - I can only assume her previous food contained something artificial that did not agree with her. Both my dogs love this food & eat with gusto. I buy two 7.5kg bags at a time so save a little money, the quality of the food is well worth it. Zooplus have been excellent - I recently received a bag that had split in transit. They replaced this with no quibble. Excellent service from zooplus.
My cockapoo had tummy issues for months until I swapped him to Applaws. I have moved him to the 'Lite' version as the vet was trying to persuade me to use their recommended food for helping him loose a little weight. I really didn't want to swap brands as I am delighted with the results I've seen with Applaws (and I tried so many well know brands). He loves the food and poos, coat etc are really good. Highly recommend this.
Have used this now for over a year and my 2yr old staffy Asbo loves it. No more smelly trumps or sloppy poo! Ordered last bag Monday afternoon arrived Wednesday as always Zooplus best for prices and was packed as though it was bone china! Excellent product, excellent service. Well done
My German Shepherd suffers with bad digestion. This food is the only one that truly agrees with him.
I have a Golden Retriever and it has always been a battle to maintain her weight. She has allergies and any other food I give her causes her ears and paws to flare-up with yeast infections. This is the only food I have found which keeps her allergies at bay and also maintains her at a healthy weight. Every so often, I try something else, in an aim to reduce the monthly outgoings (!) but nothing compares.
I have just got this for my dogs, one has thryoid problems so has weight to lose, she was doing well on Burns Chicken and Oats but the fussy pup has stopped eating it so hence my search for a different food. I must say that this gets wolfed down and without any wet meat being added to it too, so although it is a bit more expensive than the Burns this is offset by not having to buy them canned meat anymore. So far they are doing well and enjoying it, as for any weight loss then that will be longer term, maybe I could place another review in a few months time. For now I am happy and my dogs are happy.
