Not complete food
Our two ragdolls love this as a treat but after reading a few comments above thought I'd better mention this is not a complete food for cats. For excellent quality wet grain free food for cats check out Grau Grain Free, Bozita or have a look at Lily's Kitchen organic

fussy kitten
this is the only 'cat food' our 1 yr old kitten will eat. He has expensive tastes but buying in bulk from zooplus has saved us money. Some tins have more brine than others. Well worth tryiog if like us you have extremely fussy feline friend.

Not the cheapest but the best
This food looks great and by the way our 4 British Shorthairs eat it, it tastes as good as it looks. We only feed cour cats the best and so it must be good.

Natural But Not Complete
Yes, this is a natural product with natural ingredients but unfortunately it is not a complete meal. But my cats enjoy these tins alot and because they are not complete meals I just give them as treats.

Doesn't look as nice as the pic
My kitten did like this food, however it doesn't look anything like the picture suggests! It looked and smelt more like tuna fish than chicken!
The serving size is quite good for kittens though.

clean plate every time!
My 9 months old russian blue cats love this food. Chicken breast applaws is the only wet food they'd eat - and I did try a few major brands and kitten range applaws also. They generally have a sensitive tummy but having them on applaws seem to have fixed the problem - they feel much better now and purr every time I open the tin, they simply can't get enough of applaws!

My kitten loves it!
My kitten is a fussy eater. He wasn't when we first got him but since he spotted our adult cat wolfing down delicious Applaws, he wanted some to himself. I was so pleased Applaws do a kitten food! Our kitten licks the bowl so clean and is always looking for more. I now give him this for his 2 main meals and then another cat food, whiskas, for his in between smaller meals. He always picks at whiskas but this goes down a treat! Even our adult cat tried to get in about it. Highly recommended for cats who have expensive taste!

excellent
This product has species appropriate, high quality ingredients for a cat, containing 53% chicken meat (not 'derivatives'), 5% eggs, 39.4% water, 1.6% oil. It has 1% rice, which I'm in 2 minds about as I prefer cat foods to be cereal free but rice is hypoallergenic. The high moisture content will support the urinary health of male kittens and has fish liver in to support brain health.
I was satisfied that this was a quality product supportive of excellent nutrition.
In addition my kitten really loved, and even my old cat, who is the fussiest eater in the world, wolfed a tin of this down with great enjoyment. So it is tasty and it is good for your kitten.
A tin a day plus available the nutritionally excellent applause kitten kibble is how I would offer it and a constant supply of dechlorinated water as well. Cats hate tap water and many would rather be thirsty than drink it!
I wish though that zooplus sold JWB wet food, because its the best quality, tastiest wet food for cats and kittens that I know of.

I've tried everything, Applause for Applaws!
2 of my cats have sensitive digestion. One is frequently sick and the other always has diarroah.
My vet recommended switching from Felix to a premium / organic brand. Since trying this, both their conditions are much improved and both cats adore it. My 3rd fussy tabby cat who previously hated wet food and would only eat dried, also loves it.
I'm disappointed to read the two reviews which say it isn't a complete food, but they fail to detail what vitamins it misses so perhaps an update would be more informative to anyone concerned by those reviews.
I tend to try a range or organic foods for my cats to give them a broader range diet anyway as us humans don't like to eat the same thing day in day out so why do we assume they do? And for me, the proof this is a good food is in the improved health of 2 of my cats. If they're happy, I'm happy.

Applaws confirm this is not complete
When I opened the tin it was very different than other Applaws I have bought, which looked like shredded chicken. This was pinker and mushier in comparison. Plus the ingredients are different that the product on the Applaws website. I was confused so contacted Applaws (MPM Products) and they said that this is not the complete food, this is one made for the European market which is a complementary food, there to be mixed with other foods. It is genuine, but not the same as the UK product which is a complete food. Nonetheless, my kitten loves it!!

They love it and it is a complete wet food for kittens
As has been suggested under feeding recommendations, I got really worried that my kittens who refuse to eat any dry complete food will not get enough nutrition they need! So I emailed Applaws and the reply I have received was that this is the only wet food they make which is 'complete'. We are still trying to give them other products but this is the only one that they love so much, they clean the plate and purr every time they get it!

not a complete food :(
it sounds like a great cat food, but it's not a complete food, so why buy this if you have to add to it May as well buy something that has all the ingredients cats need. Zooplus, please highlight the fact that it is a complimentary food!

Wow
Well I wouldn't say my 17 week old kitten is fussy, but lets say she knows what she likes. I gave her some of this food and left her for a couple of minutes and came back to find the dish empty, and a very full up, contended kitten laying on the sofa washing.I ahve never known her eat so much so quickly. Its super and I will be buying it again.

A real treat but 'still' NOT a complete food
My 5month old kitten really loves Applaws and I give her a tin once or twice a week as a treat. I think the ingredients and the quality of this food are great, however, it is definately NOT a complete food! On the applaws tin it says clearly that it is a 'completely natural complementary kitten food'. The 'completely' might be a bit misleading I guess! Also I looked at the Applaws website and the Nutritional Analysis of their wet food: it contains for example only 4mg of Taurine (A cat needs a minimum of 250mg per day). Also the phosphorus/calcium relation is not balanced! Therefore I believe it's not a good idea to feed a cat only Applaws wet food and it should really be combined with a wet (or dry) complete food. However, as said - it is a great treat!!!

Lip smackingly yummy but he's still hungry afterwards
My 5 month old male Ragdoll has been enjoying this for months now! Lip smackingly yummy - only the can is noticeably small especially as male Ragdolls grow quite big. It’s the only time he actually still seems hungry and meews for more food.

Excellent for Weaning!
I am in the process of weaning four 5-week old kittens and they are doing really well on Applaws Kitten! Initially, I put a little bit on the tip of my finger and eased it into their mouths, but by the end of the first day, they were eating it out of the bowl. The only problem is keeping the mother from stealing it!

The best!
This is the best wet food I've found for my 4mth old. She loves it and the quality is absolutely top-notch. I don't think there's anything better on the market. I only wish they'd do a few more flavours for kittens. The website here suggests it isn't complete, but according to the manufacturer the formula was changed since it was first introduced and it now IS complete.

Not a complete cat food!
I agree this does seem to be a great cat food with a high protein content and my diabetic cat loves it, however I called the uk supplier and asked if it was a complete food. The answer was no!! They recommend you add a vitamin supplement to the food. The dried food is a complete diet but the wet food isn't.

Ms
This is ideal for the owner who has the picky cat amongst us. My Siamese had to change his diet from dry food to wet last year. We tried him on many different types, and finally found Applaws.
The succulent pieces of meat or fish within the tin are readily eaten and the dish licked clean. The ammount in each tin is adequate for one meal per cat too. As unlike other cat food the lack of water in the tin is a pleasant surprise.
The tins themselves are very easy to open as they have their own ring pull, so there is no need to look for a tin opener.
All in all a very pleasing experience for both owner and cat!
