These cans used to be excellent, my cats loved them. For about a year or more now, these cans are just no good. They actually smell bad. The cats sniff them, won’t eat, and would rather walk away. I tried ordering Gourmet chicken pâté again in August to see if anything changed, but once again, the cats wouldn’t eat it. The contents are dark and smelly. The pâté used to look different at first glance. It’s probably down to the manufacturer.

Last batch of "Gourmet Gold at a special price" is only fit for the bin. My cat loves this food—she still eats the old tins with pleasure, but doesn't give the new batch a second glance.

ONLY 20% meat (instead of at least 70%). Of that 20%, 14% is actually the animal, and the rest is meat waste, including beaks and feet. Plus sugar! And so on and so forth. Nestlé AG, I should have read beforehand. They've never produced in favour of people, animals, or nature. Proven. Verifiable. Please go for the varieties with 70% meat and at least 20% broth. WITHOUT sugar and caramel. Without all the other stuff. Zooplus has some good offers.

My cat enjoyed it all year round, but since the last order she won't touch it! Such a shame :(

Unfortunately, this food contains added sugars. Cats can't taste sweetness, and sugar only gives them empty calories and increases their risk of diabetes. There are options on the market with much better nutritional profiles and a higher percentage of real meat for a similar price. I wouldn't recommend this if you're looking to take care of your pet's metabolic health in the long term.
