My Ragdoll Boris has very fine hair and is full of knots, so cutting with scissors was not an option. That's why I opted for this product. It is still a little hard with the tangles but the clippers come to grips with it without burning or hurting the skin. As for the parts without knots, the clippers go through there like butter.
