House cats not like & Outdoor cats like
My cats love it and this food fixed the poo problem for my very sensitive blue russian cat. This is the only one food what her digestive system tolerate. No more diarrhoea 😀😀
Very good quality food. My cat who loves wet food likes this one very much.
This food is amazing! The tin size is perfect when feeding 5 cats and they all absolutely love it. Two of them even growl when eating it. Packed solid in the tin, there is so much food for your money and it smells really nice, unlike some supermarket brands. So much healthier for my cats too and their coats are so shiny since eating this food. I'm so glad I found it.
A premium food at a VERY GOOD PRICE- that my fussy cat STILL enjoys, even after several months! Long may it last!
I bought mixed pack 1, all cats ate it. Then I bought mixed pack 2, 4/8 would not eat it. They have never turned down any wet food before. I don't know if its a bad batch or just the different flavors in mixed pack 2 are not nice. The code on bottom on mixed pack 2 tins implies from another factory.
After this food my cat health has been improved :) She been very poor with supermarket food. I decided to try this food because of 65% of the meat.
Amazing food which is totally species appropriate, mine loved all flavours except for the mixed meat but its great you can order so many different flavour choices so I just won't order that one. It's definitely comparable to grau and catz finefoods which are the other 2 brands I use but this is much cheaper. I buy 55 x 800g tins a month for 15 cats and its a great price.
Have bought this a couple of times now and the cats seem to enjoy it most of the time. My big worry is the beef content, there is far too much in every variety. Not knowing the source of the beef is worrying, when I think back to times of mad cow disease, I always worry about beef in pet foods.
Having a multi cat household means feeding can be pricey and a can lasts no time at all. These 800g cans are perfect, will be looking for more like this. These are decent quality and are grain free.
High meat content and no weird cereal chunks like most cast food cans. My overweight cat lost weight on this food and has loads of energy now, he really has to chew it instead of lapping like other wet foods. It looks like corned beef in consistency. It keeps well in the fridge and doesn't stink. Definitely ordering more soon!
I use this as a supplement to my ferrets diet. Its great quality ingredients and they enjoy the Beef varieties of the Adult tins the best. Great food for cat and as part of a varied & balanced diet for ferrets.
Occasionally dented cans. Nice look to product. A bit short on jelly, good meat content. My two Burmese eat about 1 large can a day. Recently, they have exhibited signed of over-grooming and itchy skin on legs and belly. I swapped to Whiskers pouches (chicken and fish from local supermarket) and they eat loads more but their skin irritation and over-grooming has ceased and fur is returning in those areas. I will cycle brands more.
My two rescue cats are surprisingly fussy eaters so I have been looking for a new cat food that they will enjoy. I recently ordered this cat food for the first time. I was impressed by how good the food smelled when I opened the tin. It looks and smells like corned beef. My cats wolfed this down the first time I gave it to them and continue to enjoy this cat food and the Carny Senior tins that I also bought. I am delighted as (apparently) are my cats!
High meat content and doesn't smell too bad. My cats love it. They have been eating animonda carny since kitten. Great value esp with the 800g tin, Would be nice if there are more flavour choices.
none has been wasted, it all gets eaten up and they are doing very well on it. Good value for a good quality food.
I'm a week in to transitioning my 2 female Siberian cats from kitten to cat food. After doing some research on wet cat food 'meat content versus price' I came across Animonda Carny. This has much more goodness in and around 50% meat but kg for kg works out the same price as leading brands available in the supermarket that have less than 10% meat. So far a week in, neither of my girls are that keen and one turns to the dry food I put out over this. It could well be because they are used to pouches that are a lot wetter so I'm going to have one last attempt and try the Animonda Carny - meat saucer which I'm hoping is a gravy variety as opposed to a more solid meat like all the other flavours. I agree with a previous reviewer that there seem to be lumps of fat in the tins but cats need some fat in their food so it doesn't worry me too much. I would recommend this if your cats are used to the solid tinned foods but not so much if they aren't. As my cats have a top quality dry food and are on L-lysine, probiotics and dental supplements I will go back to a high street brand if I have to as all other quality wet cat foods I have found cost considerably more. Wish me luck!
These used to be the best value 'real' grain-free food that my cats would eat. However, in the last 6 months the meat is noticeably fuller of hard fat particles and gets very unappetising after the initial opening. The 400g remain ok.
I have a pack of 6 cats and they are all related. Each one with their very own personality but all in agreement when it comes to their most loved band of food. Tried lots of types and brands to provide them with some variety, but I have always to go back to this one which is evidently their favoured. No questions!
Seems like decent ingredients but advise buying a small tin to test first. Our 2 cats wouldn't touch it.
All of our cats love this food. They clean their bowls which is a first!
I love this brand, I was buying the smaller tins but as I have 3 cats it makes sense to buy the big ones. I have found the bigger tins, when left open they will not last as long, I have been keeping lids on and in the fridge for a max of 2 days. Its smells and looks like corned beef and my cats love it. They are all super healthy with gorgeous shiny coats! Fantastic value and quality... :)
Lulu (16) can't get enough of this - the others weren't allowed near her dish, which was licked clean. It's quite fatty at the bottom of the can but I'm happy that Lulu eats it and hopefully this will help keep her weight on
having to change my cats diets drastically after finding being told they were overweight- I had to change to a higher meat content and lower carb diet. This is stuff is not only all of that but my cats love it! It's great value for the meat content and my cats have had no tummy issues! Definitely recommended
I changed my 4 cats to this diet about a year ago as I was horrified how little meat is in the usual supermarket brands and also concerned about feeding a dry only diet, especially as one of my toms has a tendency to bloat, even if being fed grain-free products. I'd even tried raw feeding but this wasn't popular with all of the cats. Anyway, the cats absolutely love Carny! It keeps them trim (no more bloating), glossy coats, they're getting a good fluid intake and most importantly, the high meat content with the required amount of taurine and nutrients. The price works out at better value than buying supermarket brands too. I can't recommend this food more highly.
My adopted cats had been home-cooked for, which I don't have time for. So after noticing their coats suffering on the supermarket food I was giving them I paid more attention to content and was horrified! Found this online, fantastic content at affordable price. I had to mix with 4% stuff for a week or so (and got the pawing around the bowl / eating around it), but once they realised it was that or nothing they started eating it. Coats back to happy state, now eating it without issue, my only challenge is gauging quantity as it fills them up they don't need as much of it. Not changing back!
My cats were on a raw diet, but this proved troublesome as they would only eat it when it was very very fresh, then a home cooked diet- brilliant but time consuming plus expense of buying taurine etc- now on this as I have little time. Perfect small poops, no sickness from my sensitive pedigree- they LOVE it and it's amazing value. I buy the 800g tins and freeze 200g portions.
My very fussy would turn nose up at alot of good quility food. And would only eat felix. Open this tin up and I dont get a chance to get it in the bowl. Very pleased
Became aware a while back as to the true content in most brands of cat food, serious usage of wheats, sugars etc, so tried to supplement 'supermarket cat foods' with fresh meat, not easy with 5 cats. Found out about Zooplus, did some checking and was so impressed, with a proper breakdown of Animondas meat contents, will NEVER EVER go back to anything else. My cats LOVE IT and are so much healthier looking a definite thumbs/paws up.
This food smelt so good when I opened the can, I could have been tempted to eat it myself! I could not believe that my cats ate it all up. Even with 12 cats, previously a 400 tin would be licked over and mostly left, with various attempts to 'cover it up'. Not with Carny. The bowl was licked clean. The litter trays did not have an increase in 'aroma' and waste appeared minimal. I am very pleased with the product. It would be nice to have the ingredients written in English but my cats can't read so were not worried about this.
Our cat was hooked on whiskers and felix, he was fat and had dandruff, he couldn't get enough of the 4% rubbish. It took a while to wean him off the 'junk food' but I added a little to the whiskers/felix food and gradually increased it over about 2 weeks until he just ate 100% Carny. What a difference, when he eats this food, he becomes full and doesn't pig out, he is now lean but very healthy, dandruff has gone and is replaced with a glossy coat, I am so pleased I changed him over. I don't think that the food smells, the whiskers and felix smells much more.
I bought this as I was attempting to move away from the cheap supermarket and dry food my rescue cat was accustomed to. The mixed trial I though would let me know what she liked and didn't like however the lack of English labelling left me judging what was what by the colour of banding on the can and the use google translation services. It certainly looks like by products - a bit fatty, very smelly and leaves very stinky poo's but cat loved most varieties. The beef and multi cocktail didn't go down too well but the chicken and rabbit have been a huge success. I've moved to the 200g cans as she's quite a small cat and saves leaving can open too long.
The cats appeared to like this, sadly even though I was converting them very slowly two of the cats had pretty awful diarrhoea, once the carney was stopped they went back to normal so I gave it another go and the same thing happened, which was a real shame as it looks and smells much better than a lot of other foods. I did notice that the food had quite a lot of fat in it so I’m assuming it’s this that was upsetting the cat’s stomachs. The food is very high quality but would be much better with a lower fat content, hence only giving it 4 stars.
this product has proved to be the holy grail in solving the food that our fussy cats eat... They just cant get enough of it :-)
We previously fed our kitten with Felix. He enjoyed it at first but very quickly began to eat only the jelly and ignored the 'meat'. We supplemented his diet with raw mince, tinned tuna, white fish and cooked chicken pieces. All rather expensive. Now with our new kitten we feed him this and he eats every bit of it. No waste and enjoys all flavours. Absolutely much better value than popular brands in the long run and one look at it and you can see that it is high quality natural product. Highly recommended.
My cats both being very fussy leave most cat foods and prefer dry cat food but one eats this and looks for more and the other eats a small amount. I never feed the 4% meat cat stuff and did feed the Encore Chicken but was concerned it wasn't a complete cat food and the source of chicken may well be antibiotics content etc too. Anyway this worked out cheaper than Whiskas which on Ocado is:Price per kg: £3.07' and is 4% meat and derivatives! Very pleased with this Animonda and will buy it again.
In a multicat household and also running a rescue we have cats of various ages and sizes. Not one of them walks away from this food. Quality ingredients you can tell the minute you open the tin its not the processed cheap crap of felix kitekat or whiskas which even if donated i will not feed to any of the cats. Empty dishes happy cats looking well and healthy
Wow my cats love this food. Like cat food used to be.Looks like real meat not preformed synthetic stuff seen in the "big named" food. My cats are fussy but wanted them to have a wet food diet as fills them up better and keep them trim. Have to also cat litter tray seems to be less smelly
Open the tin and what you see is real meat, not some over processed gloop. You can tell its good stuff as you cant just rinse the tin afterwards like cheap tins as the real meat leaves fat just like after your sunday roast in the tin, . Its all healthy protein your cats 'designed' to eat. Our two cats love it, they dont need much at a time as its rich, they also get applaws dry food with it. I buy the mixed pack for variation but they go extra mad for the meat cocktail flavour. I get two days out of one tin for two cats.
We have an Ocicat who has a very sensitive stomach and has tried over a dozen different wet and dry foods with no success in keeping down his meals. Following the recent Zooplus article on grain-free cat food, I found this offer amongst its suggested grain free wet food. We have not had a sign of sickness since it arrived two weeks ago (which is a record) and our boy can't get enough of this. Thanks to Zooplus' article and advice, we are now getting along just fine. 800g tins are also great. This is the one for us.
