How can anyone give this product a good review? The overhead sensor is very low and the cat is extremely reluctant to stick its head in far enough to activate it.After three months of training, with the lid fully closed the cat will still not put its head in far enough to open this up. I have been using it with the lid half closed, which doesn't keep the other cat out, but now the lid sticks in the open position whenever it is activated. I don't think the designer has ever owned a cat.

What a waste of money! I bought this for one of my cats. brother always steals her food, this bowl didn’t help one bit. The food is completely accessible from the back, the other cat went for the food instantly and the bowl didn’t even close. The cat registered wasn’t even close to the bowl after being pushed away and it still didn’t close. What a failure it was for 142€. And it doesn’t even come with batteries.

Terrible product. While struggling to get my cat used to it, I realised that the mechanism didn’t close when the other cat arrived. Customer service suggested a reset, but it didn’t work. In the end, I never used it because it didn’t work, no refund, no help with exchanging the product. Over €100 down the drain.

I thought it was a microchip-activated bowl to stop the cats from swapping bowls... But in the end, the bowl opens as soon as it detects any movement.

I have two cats, so I bought two of these feeders (with chip). They work perfectly fine in that regard. But the plastic/rubber bowls cause skin irritations and my cats won’t eat the food anymore. Also, the lids never close completely. Cleaning is incredibly time-consuming, especially with wet food, which really defeats the purpose of making things “easier”.

My mum bought some Surefeed bowls like this one about a month ago. 1. These bowls apparently have a known issue with the automatic lid mechanism. She had this problem with 3 out of 4 bowls in total. 2. She paid around €110 per bowl, had one bowl replaced twice, and she’s sending them all back for good this week. I’m especially shocked, given all the problems with these bowls, that the price has actually gone up. And by €40, no less! It’s disgraceful!

I've already had to reorder the stainless steel bowls for the third time in a short period. Even though I only wash them by hand, the rubber seals break quickly! Other than that, I'm happy with the machine – it's really durable!

The stainless steel bowls don’t live up to their promises at all. After a very short time, the edges—which are supposed to keep the food fresh and airtight—start coming apart, tearing, or even coming off the rim of the bowl completely. And I haven’t even put them in the dishwasher; I always wash them by hand. This has happened to me for the second time now. The quality is really poor. I’m very disappointed.

Since the first machine developed a technical life of its own after just 7 months (blinking, randomly opening and closing the lid), I urgently needed a replacement. The product box already showed signs of use on the inside in one spot. The device itself did too, as it had dirt on it (presumably from food, among other things) and was clearly already used. At this price and for hygiene reasons, I expect a brand new device. That’s why only 1 star.

Everything seemed to be going well, but I've been using it for just a month and it already doesn't work. The lid popped open and won't close again. Now I have to figure out how to fix it.
