No more strays!
This is excellent, as is Sureflaps customer service. The first one didn't work properly so Sureflaps replaced it and paid to have it re-fitted.
Replacement works like a dream. Standard size just fits my female Maine Coon. Can't recommend this highly enough.

Fantastic product
Wish we had ordered one of these years ago! We have always had a problem with other cats coming into the house. This product was recommended by our vets when we got two new kittens and had them microchipped. It's simple to fit and totally efficient. We've had it about a six months and the battery warning light has just started to flash so it's lasted well. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant
We had a magnet flap and unfortunately a cat burglar also wore a magnet and started coming in & helping himself to cat food. We had to lock the flap at night & our little darling (being a cat) had got into the habit of wanting to go out about 5 mins after we got into bed!! This meant getting up & hanging around for 10 mins or so until she came back in. Since fitting this we can leave the flap open all the time again - going to bed and staying there. The chip learning process worked first time and despite our cat being elderly she started using the flap straightaway with no problems.
Really fast delivery through zooplus and was easy to fit over existing hole. Its also quieter than the magnet door.

Good but why no cover?
This does the job well.
But there's just one issue.
When you lock it, there's no cover you can slide over the door like with some other cat flaps.
How is the cat going to know...
So you end up with a very confused and distressed puss pawing at a locked door wondering why they can't get out as normal.

Freedom!
Great price, easy to fit and reassured that no unwanted animals come through. Bonus of being set up with micro chip in my cat and not worrying about access through a collar which he tends to lose often. Would recommend.

good but expensive to fit
I was not sure such a complex thing could work so well but it does. My nervous cat finds it fine to use and no other cats get in.
However it was quite difficult and expensive to fit to my brick wall. I needed to purchase 5 of the expensive tunnel extensions and also the mounting adaptor which is needed to screw the cat flap onto the wall.
But worth it in the end.

Best buy ever
I used to have unwanted visitors breaking into my house through our old flap door. Now is peace of mind for me and my cats. Recommend it!

Does what it says on the box. Brilliantly!!
Well-made and well-finished.. The instruction book is very thorough and easy to follow - in a bewildering number of languages.
Registering your cat's microchip is a doddle.
You can download a fitting template from the Sureflap website is straightforward and makes fitting the flap easy and accurate.
Fitting my Sureflap into my uPVC back door took only 40 mins.
The locking mechanism, whilst not entirely silent, is remarkably quiet and didn't upset either of my cats.
With the aid of my youngest son, one of us inside and t'other outside, we 'posted' the cats in and out through the flap saw both cats happy to use their new door after no more than four training 'posts'.
Would I recommend the Sureflap? YES. Would I buy the Sureflap again? YES. And the Zooplus price is exceptionally good value.

Sureflap cat flap
An excellent product, works reliably and keeps out other cats as well as dogs and foxes. If you have any problems, Sureflap will go out of their way to help solve them. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

brilliant
We've never had a cat flap before so I'm pretty sure our cat had never seen one as he's only a year old and we've only just started letting him out, researched all the cat flaps and this one got such good reviews I went with it, it arrived few days after I ordered and we sent it off to the glaziers as we had a glass door and it had to be made in,once it was in it we tried everything to get kitty in to it,but he just wasnt having it,dreamies etc, nothing worked, he just didnt get it,I went to work the next day and left him miaowing like mad to get out, son got up about 2hours later and cat was out-yay he worked it out all by himself, but would he get back in as there is a slight delay of a second or so when he puts his head in to allow the reader to read his chip, but yes little while later he arrived into the kitchen and we havent looked back since, best thing is being able to control when it opens and not, we set it that he cant get in but not back out from about 9pm as we dont like him outdoors at night, and then just unlock it in the mornings, really simple to link his chip to it also, you just press the button and make sure your cat then passes through and thats it, best thing I've bought in a long time

The best option Sureflap
Bought this to replace another Sureflap Cat Flap. The Pet Door version is much more versatile and the double lock on the outside seems to have finally stumped our very creative escapologists/cats who managed to breach the Cat Flap version several times. We no longer have to build a barricade to prevent escapes. Curfew mode is a Godsend. Definitely worth the extra money.

Puurfect Sneaky Prevention
Sweet as he is, I was getting totally fed up of Sneaky from two doors down popping in and helping himself to my cats expensive food. My cat is now quite old and past the days where he would see other cats off no problem. Ordered, delivered and fitted within two days, brilliant that it requires no collar. Would definitely recommend this flap and wish we had got it ages ago. Totally worth the money for a much happier, relaxed cat

microchip sure flap
we bought this and it has been a godsend but my only gripe is my young cat has learnt to pull it up towards her when on in only so enabling her to get out which is not ideal if she is out when we go to bed and I want her in for the night. Wish it had two catches like the more expensive one

Really easy to set up & use
We ordered this for just one of our cats who goes outside the other 4 are house cats.
We got a local double glazing company to fit the flap into a sealed unit in our conservatory.
It looks neat & tidy & works really well & was easy to program using the manual.
It may not be suitable for a very large cat as the flap size is not huge.We also needed to buy the additional fitting as it was put into glass.
Really pleased with it.

fantastic product
We were plagued by neighbours' cats who invaded our house on a daily basis, stealing our cat's food and occasionally peeing in our house. Our vet advised us to get this microchip activated pet door and it is amazing. Our cat is 6.5kg and the pet door is large enough for him (the cat flap would have been too small, this is perfect). He initially found the clicking sound of the flap unlocking slightly scary, but he soon got used to it. The pet door has many different settings as well as a timer so you can programme it to whatever you want in terms of opening times and directions. It is easy to follow the very comprehensive manual that comes with the pet door. We left it totally unlocked for a few days so our cat got used to the feel of the door and then switched on the setting that unlocks it for only our cat by identifying his microchip. It works brilliantly and is worth every penny. The zooplus price was the cheapest I could find for this pet flap. It was delivered quickly. I am delighted with the purchase and with the service from zooplus. It is worth knowing that Sureflap have a well manned UK helpline that you can ring with any questions about the product or it's operation, or questions on fitting. I was incredibly impressed with this aspect of the product, as I rang them to get advise on which size would be best for our cat, and the phone was answered quickly and they knew their products inside out.

Problem solved
This is a wonderful improvement for us and our 2 cats. A catflap that prevents intruders without requiring the cat to wear and lose a collar. It works on the cat's existing microchip and only allows entry to chips it recognises. Very easy to 'teach' the flap the chips belonging to our cats, as easy to install as any normal catflap and works perfectly.

Solution to our intruder cat problem!
I am so pleased and relieved to have found a solution to our intruder cat problems. In particular, the cat next door liked to come in and steal our cat's food and also our food! Our cat stood and watched with an anxious look on his face. My reduced bill for cat food (halved) is already paying for our new cat flap!

This is NOT a gimmick!!
My first impression of this cat flap was that it would be a total gimmick and never work, but I was very much proven wrong, it's fantastic! The item arrived promptly and was very easy to install (make sure you purchase the adaptor circles if you are placing in glass) and within minutes of putting into "learn mode" my kitty had stuck her nose out to investigate the door, and immediately she was registered and everything has gone smoothly since. I now have a very happy feline and no unwanted visitors spraying cat wee in my house while I'm away!! I also wanted to comment on SUREFLAPS amazing Customer Service! I had a small issue (my own fault) with the actual clear door so emailed an enquiry directly to them. Immediately I received a phone call and follow up email and a replacement part was sent out with no questions asked within 48hrs and the demonstration video on their website made swapping the part easy. Unless you have more than 32 cats (the item only registers this many!??!) then do not worry about paying the extra £30, it's well worth it!!!

Anxious cat, invaders day and night? Problem solved!
This product was recommended by friends to replace an old and battered magnetic flap. The dynamic in our neighbourhood recently changed with next door moving and my "mummies boy" cat has been a wreck without "Bob" from next door to back him up when we're not about. When it arrived my husband thought it looked a bit small and flimsy - this couldn't be further from the truth! It took the cat a couple of days (me sitting one side of it with a bag of dreamies; him the other, with a face like I'd just given him a tardis and no instructions) but he got the hang of it yesterday and is so much happier. Its taken a severe battering from "Pepsi" (the worst invader) and I now have a row of metaphorical cat suitcases by the back door and NO 5am invaders. Thank you so much SureFlap!

Great size for tubby cats!
I brought this larger flap because one of my cats is a BIG boy! There is no way he would have squeezed through the smaller one but this size is perfect for him. I brought this after seeing my sisters sureflap & thought it was a fantastic idea with the microchip feature. I have two cats who are brother & sister, both 14 mths old. I left it on open for anyone for 24 hrs to allow them to get used to it without the clicking sound. The boy took a while to sniff it out & eventually figured out how to push it & go through. He still needed some encouragement though. By the next morning he was going in & out like a professional. The girl was a lot more unsure. I had to hold her paws & show her how to push the flap open as the magnets are quite strong & need a fair bit of force to open. She soon figured it out but was still very wary about using it to come back in. She definitely found coming in a lot harder & I found her a couple of times crying at the flap window trying to scrape her way through! I think the tunnel from the outside may be a bit daunting. Two days later & they are really getting used to it. The lock is now on & i have put it in the mode where it has a longer locking delay for timid cats so it gives them a chance to hesitate once they have heard the click but still proceed without it clicking rapidly to relock it & open it when they move their head back again. The constant clicking can be off putting but this mode solves this little problem. I think it is a great flap. I brought it 9 wks before my holiday to give them time to get used to it but 48 hrs later & they are doing great. Neighbourhood cat that used to use my house like a restaurant now sits at the flap & looks in but cant get in anymore! Great flap, well worth the money. Great size that can be used by either small or large cats. Easily fitted with a good instruction booklet.

Cat flap
The little door works well.. It almost completely lacks instructions for setting the opening and closing times.. It doesn't show whether the cat has gone through and whether it's inside or outside..

Overall a good product, but an important note
The flap is well made, and the closing mechanism is fairly quiet too. Installation was easy. But here's an important tip:
The instructions assume it never rains or gets stormy. That's not the case here. Before fitting the outer panel, you should definitely seal all around the cut-out in the door with silicone, otherwise when it rains, water will get into the wide gap between the outer panel and the tunnel and soak through the door from the inside!

Doesn’t work
The cat flap doesn’t work. We can’t register our cat, either with the cat’s microchip or with the tag that came with it.

Bad purchase
Our tomcat has to get his shoulder really close to the flap for it to react. There’s no room for his head in the tunnel anymore. After a week of trying, I ended up disabling the function. Now our tomcat and other cats just go through the freely swinging flap. I can’t recommend this product.

Unfortunately keeps failing
I’ve had the flap installed since January now. When everything works, it’s really good. Especially because it’s nice and big. I don’t want my cats going out at night. Unfortunately, the set time keeps resetting, so sometimes I find the cats outside again in the morning.

Doesn’t keep the cat out
We have had this cat flap for a little over a year now. Our cat managed to open the previous cat flap, so it was time to buy one that closes better. But our cat can open this one too. He puts his head—and his chip—by the reader until he hears the lock click, then uses his claw to pull the flap forward and get through. Knowing that a fox walks around here at night, I had hoped to keep the cat inside, but no luck. Clever cat. Other than that, it’s a fine flap.

Bought a Second Pet Door
I already have a "SureFlap Microchip Pet Door" between the house and the barn (works perfectly). The other pet door (same model) is between the barn and the outdoors, to keep unfamiliar cats out of the barn.

Our 3rd chip feeder from Zooplus (all work perfectly)
The first one we bought turned out to have a door that was too small for our biggest tomcat to comfortably get in and out (he became a bit of a square cat—temporarily—when squeezing through).
Door number 2 was the brown pet door with chip reader (works really well), which we installed in the door leading out to our barn, so it’s snow-free outside even in winter. Even our big tomcat is really happy with it now.
Door number 3 is the same as number 2, but will be installed in one of the barn’s two entrances (possibly a fourth door later on).

Great value for money!
We’ve bought this product before and were very happy with it! The cat flap is worth its price and we’d buy it again anytime! By the way, our “old” Sureflap lasted almost 15 years. 💪🏻👍🏻😉

Mechanism too loud
My cats have had a cat flap for 13 years and always used it without any problems, but it never had an outside lock! Now I had to activate it because of strange cats coming in, and my cats won’t go through anymore because the mechanism scares them! As soon as they put their heads in the tunnel, it makes a really loud click and they back away and run off! Now they don’t want to use it even without the lock! I’ve tried every suggestion out there for weeks! Nothing works! HELP!

Works fine but poor insulation
Easy to programme.
But I’m very disappointed with the insulation.
The brush seals are too small and let a lot of air through the cat flap door.

Excellent cat flap
I've had this cat flap for 5 years now. I've never had any problems—only my cat can get in thanks to his microchip. It's true that it makes a bit of noise, but it's not annoying, and you know when your cat comes in or goes out. I don't use the programming feature because I don't need it. The size is just right for a big cat. I'm very satisfied, it really makes life easier for everyone 😉
