I am very fussy about the ingredients in my dogs food. So I buy this food and alternate it with James Wellbeloved cereal free. My dogs look in great shape.

i am a veterinary nurse and my dogs nutrition is very important to me. my two lurchers although in very good health would have frequent bouts of diarrhoea and recently one has developed a mild skin condition. since feeding this food (only just finishing the first bag) their stools are always firm and the skin has cleared up, their coats are amazingly glossy and they have filled out, where i have previously had a problem keeping weight on them. the only problem i have is that it only comes with chicken. the cold pressing method is definately the way forward. 3 very happy customers :)

By far the best dog food that I have encountered. As it is a cold-pressed food, it stands head and shoulders above over the plethora of extruded kibble available in the UK. The food is suitable for all ages and types of dog, and is designed to be easily digestible, I have yet to find a dog that doesn't do well on it.

Spoken with the MM representative for the UK and she has advised that eating less than the recommended amount is perfectly normal. Apparently they work out what amount they need to eat. As Elsie is an older dog she also doesn't need as much as maybe a younger dog of a similar weight. As long as she continues to be healthy and doesn't lose weight, she is fine. :)

After the initial review (see two posts down) Elsie has continued to seemingly enjoy this brand. The only thing I am concerned about is that she never eats the recommended amount. Sometimes she can go a day with just nibbling and then eat the lot the day after. Has anyone else found this? She looks healthy and doesn't appear to have lost weight. Is it because it's a good quality food that is filling her up? Any advice gladly received!

This is a fantastic food. I used to give my dogs Burns but after one dog was suffering with Anal Glad problems I moved them on to this and it really has helped her. Both dogs love it too.

Purchased as I did some research into what goes into wet food and I was utterly disgusted. Further research later and this suited our budget. Arrived half an hour ago, put a handful in our Elsie's bowl just to see what she thought. Gone in 5 minutes! (would have been faster but she had to chew it) :) Will write again after a month for a proper review!

I tried this food after using Lukullus for a few months. My dog was brilliant on Lukullus (also sold at zooplus) but not so on Markus Muehle, his poops doubled in volume. I don't like the use of corn in this food either. But I give it four stars 'cause I believe it's much better than extruded foods and I will buy it from time to time give my dog some variety.

This fantastic value food has slowed down my greedy Labrador's eating rate, as she has to chew the larger, irregular-sized lumps rather than just "hoover" it up. She loves it, and has been regularly complimented on her sleek figure and shiny coat since we've been feeding her this. Highly recommended.

My Eurasier has been on this dog food for over 6 months. Prior to using this product he had loose stools on a daily basis. After a few days of using this product he no longer had this problem. He enjoys his meals. As a treat we top with tuna or scrambled egg a couple of times a week. We have recommended it to an owner of a West Highland Terrier who has loose stools and subsequently bought Markus Muhle from Zooplus and it has fixed the problem. I highly recommend it! Zooplus has great offers on this product and delivery is fast!

I have a 9 year old GSD and a 9 year old Springer Spaniel. Both have rather dodgy digestion but since putting them on Markus Muhle there is a wonderful difference. Good firm poops, and not so much of it, and both dogs really enjoy it. Lovely shiny coats and teeth looking good. Thank you Markus Muhle.

Great product and a healer! First time we bought this food for our first miniature schnauzer. He was rescued therefore hungry all the time. He swallowed his previous miniature dog food (Hill’s nature’s best) in whole peaces and was sick all the time. We were looking for something which helped him to chew and improved his digestion. This food does not have a particular size and so our dog has to chew every peace before he swallows and so now he eats healthier. Also, he loves it, healthy, happy and adorable! Our second miniature schnauzer pappy had irritable bowel problem therefore we spent a fortune for vet and specialised dog food. Nothing had helped! She became so ill we were worried to lose her. We decided to feed her with a balanced food but not so overly rich as pappy food. Started to feed her with Markus Mühle food. Within a month she became much better and now looking well. Now she has beautiful skin and fur (which was horrible before), happy, healthy and her stomach has healed and can digest bones or anything! Great thanks for Markus Mühle!!!!!!

My border collie doesn't really like dry biscuits but he loves these, and both he&our pointer are in fantastic condition. sensible price too :-)

Our 3½ yr old Ridgeback male has enjoyed Markus Mühle for about one year now. He's a light eater by nature, but he is very fond of the MM kibbles. For a dog that size, it's an extra bonus that the kibbles are highly concentrated, which means that he needs less - and that leaves less for us to pick up. Besides, his fur has become really beautiful; shiny and not a bit greasy. I can only recommend this dog food and have already done so to colleagues, who have had great results as well.

this food is just great - suits my fussy eater and my lad with IBS symtoms. Does NOT swell in the stomach either. My new dog loves it too. They are all energetic, healthy with supper poo!!!

The various positive reviews in this site convinced us to give it a try. Our senior greyhound loves the taste but we (humans) are not pleased with the result. This dog food results in stubborn constipation. She never was constipated before. We put her back on her regular dog food and give her this dog food as a treat but her daily intake exceeds 50 g, she has hard time eliminating. She loves the taste but her stomach does not agree.

Came across Markus Muhle by chance, and decided to try it after disappointment with Luaths. Our Cav King Charles Toby cannot get enough of this food, and his condition has never been better. MM is a top product at a mid-range price and I recommend it.

I have a red setter and a jack russell who both enjoy and thrive on this product. We have tried a whole range of different kibble over the years (of varying prices) - but this is the one that seems to be most enjoyed by BOTH of them and they are happy, healthy dogs. We will be continuing with MM for some time to come I suspect.

Anthony needs to do a bit more research - I suspect he may be a competitor trying to discredit this food :(. The tests he talks about were disproven - this is an excellent food, the best kibble I could find. It is a complete food, and the dogs love it. My neutered Cavalier is doing extremely well on it and has been known to tear open a bag to help himself if I leave one anywhere he can access!!

I have a German shepherd dog who HAD horrendous digestive problems resulting in food just going straight through him. I had tried almost every food on the market to no avail until i met another German Shepherd dog owner who had experienced the same and was now feeding Markus Muhle. I had nothing to lose my dog was very poorly, so i tried the food with my dog. First introduction with the food was that he liked it immedaitely, so very easy to change to that brand. It was a miracle how he responded so quickly with the food, no more digestive problems at all. I have now been feeding my GSD with Markus Muhle for 3 years, he has a wonderful healthy coat, is a calm and very good natured happy dog. I would never consider ever changing his diet and if i had another dog i would immediatley feed it Markus Muhle. This is a wholly natural food that a wild dog would forage. Feeding quantities are small so do not over feed and do not give any other food, your dog will not need anything else to keep him well and happy. Valerie Gill (04/10/10 )
